Trans rights are still under attack in the United States. Please go to transformationsproject.org to learn about your state and contact your reps. Here's a thread of today's updates.🧵
Missouri HB1973 has been perfected with amendments and has passed the House. The anti-trans sports bill would require school athletics to limit participation based on sex designation on their birth certificate.
Tennessee SB2777 was to be addressed today but was not. This bill may be dead and we will continue to watch it. This bill explicitly allows school professionals to deadname and misgender trans students in their care and protects them from legal or workspace consequences
Kansas SB 160 is in the Senate for a veto override, a house override is unlikely to pass. This is an anti-trans sports bill that requires the schools to have separate teams for females and males or coed and that all athletes must use their “biological sex” to be on a team.
Oklahoma SB1100 has been signed into law. This bill prevents birth certificates from having any sex /gender designation other than male or female. A nonbinary or "X" designation is not allowed.
It's not too late to help stop hateful anti-trans bills from passing into law. YOU can go to transformationsproject.org to learn more and contact your representatives to #StepUpForTransKids!

Tennessee SB 2316 + SB 2153 has combined in the House and passed the floor vote, aka it has passed both chambers. This bill targets trans-girl students, which bans students whose "biological sex" is male from participating in “female, women, or girls sports”
Tennessee HB2633 has passed the House and is going to the Senate. Under this bill teachers and staff will not be required to use pronouns other than those corresponding with their “biological sex”. This is institutionalized cruelty for no other reason than to be cruel.

In the only good news of the day Kentucky SB83 has even vetoed by Governor Beshear. We can expect an override so this bill, an anti-trans sports ban, still needs our help. Please reach out to your representatives!
Tennessee HB800 has passed committee again, and is on the floor. In this “don’t teach gay” bill, it will prohibit any instructional materials from “normalizing and supporting” LGBTQ+ community. They want to remove us from existence

Georgia has adjourned it's legislative session and thus has had 5 bills cease to be active! These are SB435, SB266, HB401, HB372, and HB276. Most of these have not moved in some time and may be resurrected next session, but for now we can breathe a sigh of relief!
Alabama HB322 has passed Senate Government Affairs Committee. It only require one more floor vote before being sent to the Governor. This is a bathroom bill that applies to all public schools, and defines "biological sex" by birth certificate.
