1) I don't think it's because the Twitter engineers are *doing something* different; remember, the algo system has been locked down. It looks to me like the lockdown resulted in them *not* doing something.
[The cyber equivalent of paper shredding in background]
2) My tech hunch has always been that this platform takes advantage of data processing containers, with engagement dependent on what container you were assigned to. It makes sense, and (big picture) the interface has always shown that technology fingerprint.
3) My suspicion is the announced algo "lockdown" (post Musk deal) has resulted in the connections between the disparate containers (data processing definitions, aka algos) being opened/less regulated as a result of the lockdown opening the engagement gateway.
4) Users (the data that defines them, and their id attributes) are now essentially free to move between containers. The result is more engagement because the unrestricted containers (think server banks) are now openly talking to each other.
5) It's like containers of 100,000 people (user groups) having the doors opened and now all of the users walk outside into one big stadium. The users are now free to engage, follow, talk, connect and share with each other.
6) It would make sense the deep Twitter engineering side would want to eliminate the container definitions ahead of new management asking questions about the doors and who made the assignments.
7) Think of it like new owners arriving at the facility for the first time and seeing one massive stadium filled with people (users). The people who controlled the containers would not want ownership to know how they managed the crowd. They'd act like it's always been this way
8) That's my hunch for what has "changed".
/END
9) ADDENDUM. I should point out that if what I am describing is accurate, the undoing of it will cause Twitter to be more costly to operate because free flow of simultaneous user engagement means more data processing demand. More expensive. [ie.The prior rules also saved money.]

1) Keep in mind that Twitter is slated to report first-quarter earnings this Thursday, and originally the board was going to wait until after that earnings announcement to respond to the bid.
1) Short thread - Many of the recent industrial food processing problems, fires, explosions, etc, are more than likely caused by the extreme over capacity situation they were in for the past 2 years, and a lack of necessary down-time maintenance.
2) There were warnings of this previously. The overcapacity was caused by the shutting down of half the food delivery system (restaurants, hospitality etc), which put extreme pressure on the processed foods (grocery) side of the supply chain.
3) Many food mfrs and processors ended up adding production time to keep up with extreme shifts in the demand for retail stores. This stresses the facility and equipment and without increased maintenance, failures happen. That's my thought on the issue. /end
2) You were not born with a requirement to believe everything you are told; rather, you were born with a brain that allows you to process the information you receive and make independent decisions.
3) In an era filled with “fact-checkers” and institutional guardians at the gates of Big Tech, let me explain exactly why it is important not to accept the speech rules of the guards.
1) The White House is very committed to all their mandates around COVID-19, the mask mandate is no different.
2) From the perspective of the professional political left, the theater of forced mask wearing represents the visible power and authority of government to rule the lives of the irrelevant proles.
3) They can choose to wear a mask if they want, but that’s not really the issue behind the mask mandate. The true power of the modern left is in the ability to force everyone to comply to their whims regardless of individual choice or preference.
Prioritize your mind. Protect your family. Be frugal, wise and smart with expenses. However, do not trouble yourself with dark imaginings.
2) If you are like most I know, you have prepared yourself with commonsense actions and you are a doer who fixes problems, not a naysayer who sits around mulling over them.
3) Your family, kids and/or grandkids as well as your community can benefit from wise, albeit sometimes stern, counsel.
1) The prior BLS data (released in March) was collected at time of the red arrow in graphic below (Feb 10 to 15).
You can see where gas prices go from the point at which the inflation data was collected. That 30% spike is what will roll-up in tomorrow's April inflation data.
2) We noted in the Feb inflation data (released in March), things were going to be much worse in the April release. The reason was simple, massive gas price increases were not yet matriculated in the Feb data, & massive food inflation was not yet captured by the USDA component.
3) The inflation data that will be released tomorrow is the first visible data assembly of the second inflation wave now upon us. Remember, inflation data lags behind the reality of the price increases.
