This is a thread on @rloopdao, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that finances innovative research projects focused on technological solutions to global problems. The governance token is $rloop. Nothing in this thread is financial advice.

According to an article in Wired Magazine: a few years ago, SpaceX (the company founded by @ElonMusk that manufactures and launches rockets) held a competition called Hyperloop

The Hyperloop competition consisted of teams building pods to be launched across long distances in short times to bring about the next technological evolution in rapid ground transport. rLoop was a finalist amongst 29 groups in this competition.

rLoop was a collective of technologists, engineers and designers from around the world, connected through Reddit, who gathered for the competition to build their Hyperloop pod in 2016 at Silicon Valley.

This initiative was led by engineer Tom Lambot and project manager Brent Lessard.

The rPod was designed to be a scalable Hyperloop pod. The rLoop team was given the Innovation award by Space X for their grand accomplishment.

Fast forward to now, the rLoop team has the hPOD model concept on their website: rloop.org/hpod

Details of their potential creation reveals something that is potentially world changing for our society today:

“At rLoop we plan for a system of passenger pods, expandable to ensure seamless travel at speed of sound and reducing barriers to travel and distance to participate in life activities. Join us in our vision of the future.”

This creation has the potential to revolutionize ground travel just like trains and cars once did. Distances that normally take hours to travel can potentially take minutes one day.

On 5/1/22, the $rLoop token was released by the rLoop team on the Avalanche blockchain.

The $rLoop token will govern rLoop DAO, which focuses on creating world changing technologies through connecting with mega industry names such as SpaceX and Tesla.

According to the @rLoopDAO Telegram:

The DAO/token will digitise innovations and IP into NFTs.

The holders of these NFTs will receive royalties from the project itself.

Staking opportunities will come for the $rLoop, (or $RLP) token.

The total supply of the token is 1 billion.

Governance: $RLP Token holders submit proposals, vote on agenda, and indicate their choice on prototypes

NFT Royalty: When the $RLP holder's chosen proposal is selected and the prototype is built, the $RLP token holders that voted for the prototype receives royalties of the NFT holding the IP

Buyback: rLoop commits a proportion of its revenue to token buyback”
