Fun theory: This past week, Nate Diaz made a deal to come back to the UFC for a title shot and a contract extension after they let him do boxing. That's why they switched his fight from Chimaev to Ferguson at the last minute so he could "leave" on a good note, and then come back. The Diaz-Chimaev fight was only there as a placeholder in case he really decided to leave the UFC for good. In that case, they would try to give his star power to Chimaev (if he lost). Since he agreed to stay under a UFC deal, they will let him go box (similar to how Conor did).
