1. This thread is about why you should consider supporting my mission to the Central African Republic plus 6 additional African countries 🚀🌍 #Bitcoin#Lightning ⚡️ @Strike@CashApp

2. Africa’s time is now! When I was giving my keynote at this year’s @TheBitcoinConf, I could not in my wildest dreams, guess that we would see #Bitcoin as legal tender in a country within the Franc CFA zone 🤯
3. Yet, here we are only a few short weeks after the keynote, and it is a reality! #Bitcoin is legal tender in the Central African Republic 🚀 bitcoinmagazine.com/business/the-c…
4. Almost a year ago, the community came through and I was able to head to El Salvador, right after the first-ever legal tender announcement at the same #Bitcoin conference
5. I arrived, connected with the local community, started a Meetup, and was part of a small group of bitcoiners talking to banks to help answer questions they might have about this nascent technology called #Bitcoin. All without speaking Spanish! 💯
6. I learned a lot in El Salvador. My goal is to share and transfer this knowledge to the Central African Republic and other African Countries. Only this time around, I speak fluent French and I can have a much bigger impact on the ground 💯
7. There has been a lot of misinformation and noise about the CAR. I plan to connect with local financial institutions and government officials in order to understand more about their needs and to build a bridge for the #Bitcoin community members who want to visit West Africa.
8. I would love to connect with your excellency @FA_Touadera and contribute any knowledge which would help with the success of #Bitcoin adoption. Ultimately, we want him to keynote at the Africa Bitcoin Conference in Ghana this December 💯 afrobitcoin.org
9. The second leg of the mission is to connect with all #Bitcoin leaders in the major African hubs, in order to get more data on the ground before the conference. We're still building our local invite list and this is an opportunity to get to know the African Bitcoin community 💯
10. There has never been a better time to connect the African Bitcoin community. The time is now! So once again, I'm asking for the #Bitcoin community support to make this a reality.
Sometimes I myself, wonder "Why me?". But I don't have time for self-reflection. Only action 💯
11. @Strike is the best way you can directly support this mission. Or you can also reach out to me via DMs to further take this conversation. Onward and upward 🚀#Bitcoin strike.me/diopfode/
12. Traveling within the African continent is notoriously expensive, so any support no matter how minimal is always greatly appreciated.
If @Strike does not work, @CashApp would also do the trick as a backup. Handle: $fodesdiop ⚡️🚀
13. Thank you for all your support and generosity 💯 The first leg of the journey to Bangui has been secured and I'll see you in the CAR next month #Bitcoin 🚀
2. When I read the #Bitcoin white paper for the first time circa 2011, I immediately realized that the novel technology would be perfect for Africa, and the developing world in general.
3. Being born and having grown up in Sénégal, where we don’t control our own sovereign money, it’s obvious to me that Francophone Africa would benefit even more from this nascent technology.
