There's a beautiful story on this about Imam Bukhari...

Once he boarded a boat with a heavy bag of money. A troublemaker noted this & shouted "Someone has stolen my bag of money!"

He hoped they'd find the bag with Imam Bukhari, accuse him of theft and he'd get the money.
The captain ordered a search of all cabins but no bag of money was found. They rou doy abused the troublemaker and went about their business.

Later on the journey, the troublemaker asked imam bukhari what happened to the bag of money. How come no one found it?
I threw it overboard the minute I heard you shouting and realised what you were doing.

The troublemaker couldn't believe it. You threw away a bag of money?

"You fool", said the Imam. "My reputation is worth more than a bag of money."
The lesson is clear, your reputation is worth more than its weight in gold. #IslamicHistory
