Address the nutritional deficiency of the children, especially protein deficiency to prevent issues like delayed growth rate. It is prevalent even among middle class children. Unhealthy dieting do this. Measure your children for Protein Energy Malnutrition (PEM). #HealthyEats
PEM is measured in terms of underweight (low weight for age), stunting (low height for age) and wasting (low weight for height). (Ask your child's Pediatrician for the right chart).
Feed the children eggs, milk, fish, chicken, yogurt, nuts, fruits, vegetables. Rethink your child's breakfast especially. Dont deny them snacks or other goodies but ensure they had healthy food before they could snack. And do not give them sugary drinks like coke.
Sample chart attached here (cr:: babylifeindia) . Pediatrician can tell you what percentile your child is in compared to other kids of the same age. Strive for improvement if the numbers are low especially if the child appears weak.

Rice polishing which became popular in 1960s is the biggest armageddon descending on the rice eating population. The layer below the husk in the rice called aleurone & layer below, subaleurone contain protein, fat, minerals, vitamins, fibers. Below it is the soft layer
which contains only starch (carb). By polishing the aleurone layer to make the rice soft and tasty to eat, the fiber, resistant starch, 'many' minerals, vitamins were lost. Net effect - hypertension due to lack of insoluble fiber, cancer due to loss of resistant starch induced
gut bacteria, artificially increased GI causing diabetes, loss of balance of macros (protein, fat gone), loss of minerals like zinc (though bioavailability of iron increased) thus losing vital immunity, loss of vitamins like A causing devastation among children.
