How to analyze an NFT project using only @opensea ?

A thread🧵
#NFT #NFTCollection Image
I really recommend the use of third-party software to have an edge in the NFT space. However, I really recommend learning the basics using only OS at first. With a limited budget, I think you should focus on investing in projects before thinking about tools.

Let’s dive into it!
Listings ✅

It is a bullish sign to see the number of listings decline. Listings have a high impact on floor price. It is easier to maintain a high floor price when only a few are wanting to sell. As a rule of thumb, I like when projects are below 10% listings (Listings/Total). Image
Volume traded 💰

It represents the amount of Ethereum traded in a collection. It will usually be harder to sell your NFT in a collection that have a really low volume traded. As a rule of thumb, I like to invest in projects that have more than 500 ETH of volume traded. Image
Unique holders 🙆‍♂️

It represents the number of individuals who detain an NFT of the collection. A great increase in unique holders is usually a bullish sign and a great decrease in unique holders is seen as bearish.

Note: It is better to look at this metric after mint. Image
Average price sold 📈

The NFTs usually pumps after launch and near reveal. Use this to time your entry and exit out of projects.

People are impatient between launch and reveal and this can cause a dip in price. You could then buy during this dip bearing minimal risks. Image
Activity tab 📁

At launch and during reveal, it can be difficult to buy because someone using a tool might snipe an NFT before you.

I’ve found the activity tab to be more accurate and to show listings before we can see them in the items tab. Use this to buy faster. Image
Sales/minute⏱️

If you see the number of sales per minute trending upwards, the price will most likely continue to rise. I like to sell when I see the sales volume is starting to decline to avoid the inevitable dump that follows each pump. No project moons in a straight line. Image
Trait sniping 🎯

Some traits become more valuable with time and people are willing to pay a premium for them despite their rarity. Sniping floor NFTs with valuable traits is a great way to flip. You can filter by Traits + "Low to high" on OS to gauge how valuable is a trait. Image
