About usefulness or not usefulness of Reading Books of Famous Lawyers:
As a young lawyer, I too read such books. They inspired and I hoped that reading them would improve my English expressions and use of idioms and phrases.
But after many years now, I have different views.

2/ I have found that such books have not helped me in my journey.
Some of these books were just showcases of their intelligence.
In some books they just tried to transfer their unfulfilled arguments, dreams, Just as our parents wanted us to pursue their dreams..

3/ None of the books which I read was specially written to empower Lawstudents or young lawyers. This was their last consideration.
Successful lawyers of these books had different circumstances, different education,
Their parents were different. Their cities were different.

4/ They were sucessful for the reasons that were not even remotely applicable to me.
These book unnecessary created in my mind "high, unreal, fanciful, idealistic view of the world".
It created a "cognitive dissonance in my mind".

5/ I felt that with their ideals, my steps were not exactly falling on my grounds of my realities..
If I needed to improve my language and expressions, I could have directly read books which taught those skills.

6/ Their struggles, their dreams, their ideals were not which I could pursue.
I needed to read some books, that could have helped me to think independently on my own.
I needed to become an authentic person.

7/ I needed some books that could teach me how to observe realities of my own circumstances.
Later I read some books for that purpose.
Last week I saw an old movie on Hotstar, "Dead Poets Society". It was to the point. The movie exhorts to become authentic in first 15 mins.

8/ If you are a fan of famous legal personalities, do read their books. I have no quarrel with your opinion.
But I suggest that you read some books that a) enhance your life skills b) and help you to think on your own about your own best interests.
