🐻: It’s the time of year for transition between spring and summer again~ It’s important to take care of your health with a balanced diet! What methods do you have to staying healthy and nutritious?
🐻: I’ve been working out and doing a bit of muscle training recently so I’ve been paying attention to what I eat. When I wake up in the morning, well it’s usually the afternoon, the dorm auntie will make me various korean soups like egg soup, a small piece of steak, and also+
+ some stir fried veggies and rice! Yeah that’s pretty much it. After working out I’ll have a protein shake and chicken breasts and then for dinner sometimes I’ll have a big meal but if I don’t feel like a lot of food sometimes I’ll just have some fruit for dinner!
OP said their health tip is drinking a lot of water no matter what
🐻: honestly before I really really did not like drinking water and enjoyed drinking beverages a lot instead, but I’ve changed my habit recently! Now I can drink up to 2L per day

Guozhen said he walks his dog for an hour everyday, so kun said taking a walk is good exercise as well. GZ said the exercising only contributes 30% while the rest 70% comes from ur diet. Today’s topic is everyone’s “healthy recipes”!
Kun was also like “omg how did we take so much time for the info today) First OP said their healthy recipes for summer is handmade noodles with thick sauce/gravy

Next OP said they started wearing braces last year so their teeth hurt and couldn’t eat large pieces of meat so they’d eat some bread with yogurt in the morning, workout, then some veggies, Kun’s favorite - oranges, bananas, and then porridge and fried egg at night
OP said they had this diet for a month and really slimmed down but misses their beloved hotpot
Kun and Guozhen talked about 山藥 aka a Chinese yam and kun said in fujian cuisine sometimes they’ll grind/cut it up and put it in soup and kun likes it and it’s healthy
🐻: ok back to OP’s diet 😂 I think I’d be able to eat it for a month without getting tired of it too!
🤓: one of my main priorities is texture so I don’t like food with a lot of fiber like chicken breast
🐻: ah but foods that don’t have a fiber-y texture tend to have more oils
They talked about how having a varied diet/foods makes it easier to last on that diet for an extended time
🐻: right the reason I don’t like apples is because I ate them so much…like many days/meal in a row so I got tired of them haha I tried doing that (same food for multiple+
+ meals and couldn’t do it haha)
Guozhen talked about when you eat and portions are important as well
🤓: skipping meals and eating too much aren’t healthy as well! You’ll either be always hungry and wanting more food in the long run or increasing your appetite
Guozhen said he can’t let his mom listen to this broadcast otherwise she’ll nag him LOL
Next OP said they like yogurt with granola as a topping, but it’s too expensive at shops, so they’ve learned to make their own. OP said didn’t realize making it at home was more expensive with the materials cost and want to send some to akseo as a present

Ok we’re back to talking about yogurt 😂 Kun said he’ll order yogurt which comes in a big cup and because it’s thick and usually comes with toppings, you get full rly easily but he isn’t sure how many calories it is so GZ was like “it’s 0 calories as long as u enjoy it” 😆

🐻: can I? Can I say it 😂 I just went for fun also in china as well and both told me I need to take care of my health over the next 2 years. Thinking about it, I do sleep really late,+
+ don’t drink much water and don’t eat at regular times…so maybe because of that maybe it affected my health so I got scared ahaha. I drink 2L of water a day now. They told me to take care of my health and I’m paying more attention to it now!
Next OP said they rly like soda and in order to cut back on sugar they mentioned kombucha as a good alternative they’ve been drinking instead that has health benefits and recommended it to everyone as well. Guozhen said he likes carbonated drinks as well and kun agreed+
+ especially on a hot day. Guozhen mentioned soda water is good for those with an upset stomach
🐻: I really liked drinking ginger ale before, but the more I drank the more I thought hmmm this probably isn’t the healthiest. I used to drink a can/bottle before bed every night haha
🐻: I’ve been drinking tea a lot recently! (T/N: hehe yes kun shared his new tea set on bubble)
🐻: when I went back home this time, my dad gave me a lot of tea to bring back like pu’er 茶, 紅茶 etc. I’ve been drinking tea a lot so it increased my water intake because it feels+
