"as a testament to India’s rising diplomatic stature where it refuses to be paraded around by the lobbies loyal to the US, engages in bilateral trade agreements with nations irrespective of how the West may perceive them,
and prioritises its economic interests over the diplomatic interests of an ally that routinely hails Pakistan.
"Make no mistake, for this is Modi’s finest hour in recent times. To balance India’s energy needs between two warring superpowers, both strategically important to India in its long-term contention with China, is remarkable."

Oh! This is what has set off all those mocking
Akhand Bharat.

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat saying (April 13), "India will again become 'Akhand Bharat' in 15 years. We all will see this with our own eyes.”
And .. Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad president Swami Ravindra Puri (of Mahanirvani Akhara), who said, "Astrological predictions suggest that we will realise the dream of Akhand Bharat in the next 20-25 years."
The Akhand Bharat being mocked by many, actually refers to modern-day Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Myanmar.

What does it do to the brown or black self-image when the Son of God is deliberately shown as a white European?

Interesting!

"How Jesus became so white - The Washington Post" washingtonpost.com/religion/2020/…
"many Christians remain hesitant to give up the image of white Jesus. He believes the continued popularity of white depictions of Jesus are “an example of how far in some respects the United States has not moved.”
"At least that’s how he appeared when she was growing up. A copy of Warner E. Sallman’s “Head of Christ” painting hung in her home, depicting a gentle Jesus with blue eyes turned heavenward and dark blond hair cascading over his shoulders in waves."

#GCCAndBeyond
What a fascinating, wonderful, knowledgeable tour of the GCC & the West Asia region with the erudite and engaging Prof Talmiz Ahmad, to mark the launch of his book 'West Asia At War: Repression, resistance and Great Power Games.
For much of the discussion Karan Thapar managed to sound even-handed before unleashing his indignation at India's treatment of Muslims, on behalf of basically tyrannical Islamic regimes, who the Ambassador was clearly pointing out were transactional and more interested in the
preservation of their regimes.

Karan Thapar is living evidence of democracy & free speech in India. That he survives, with his foppish manner, faux accent & amazing accusations of genocide against India, impliedly on par with Uighur Muslims, is testimony to our great tolerance.

#HinduRevolution
None of those who speak respectfully of the American, French, Russian or Chinese Revolutions, with all its tumbrils, slaughter and mayhem, seem even remotely conscious that a silent, subterranean, mostly non-violent Hindu Revolution is on....
Revolution it appears is not to be conceded to Hindus & even the mildest violent fall-out, as revolutions go, to be condemned out of hand.

This silent revolution comes:

* After 10 centuries of being invaded, massacred,  enslaved, converted, treated as inferior...
* Being fed on a steady diet of a leftist, truncated version of history which rubbishes what can be rubbished and virtually obliterates the rest of the Hindu past.
