People & resources that helped me out a lot when I was learning:

Pat Flynn - Would be remiss not to mention him. I think a lot of folks started out reading his work. 👊

Is it cliche to mention Pat Flynn first in a roundup? Maybe.

He's one of the very first I found. 😊
Yaro Starak (@yarostarak) - If you’re been around, you’ll know that Yaro was one of the pioneers of the whole write about #blogging and the wonders of making money from your blog thing.

Plenty to learn from his journey. 🗺️
Neil Patel - Slightly controversial, but definitely learned a lot from him and his sites.

And @ubersuggest_seo is an awesome endeavor. 🔥
Adam Enfroy (@AdamEnfroy) - His income reports are top notch, and an education in themselves!

Yoyyao Hsueh (@yoyaoh) - Another great source for income reports. 💻

RyRob - Another person who’s income reports have helped me form ideas and solve problems. 🧐
Spencer Haws of NichePursuit (@nichepursuits) - Another rather old-school name at this point and a huge person in the niche/content site industry.

And he created Link Whisper which must now be considered one of the great Wordpress plugins of all time! 🔗
Authority Hackers (@authorityhacker) - Need no introduction. Great content, YouTube videos and courses.

Doug Cunnington (@NicheSitePM) - Introduced me (and the 🌎) to the Keyword Golden Ratio (KGR) concept.

For that alone, he deserves a solid mention here.
Jon Dykstra’s Fat Stacks blog (@FatStacksBlog) - Another guy who’s been around a while. Lots to learn from him and display ads.

Charles Floate (@Charles_SEO) - Always liked his stuff. Some more on the black/grey hat side (money hat 💰, as he’d call it).
Matt Diggity (@mattdiggityseo) - Lots to learn here from Matt!

Legend in the SEO game with some great case studies around zero link building and lots of other good stuff.

Glen Allsopp (@ViperChill) - Legend in the SEO game. Viperchill guy, awesome case studies. ✍️
Matthew Woodward (@MattWoodwardUK) - Another great British SEO.

I read all of his stuff years back and gained lots of knowledge.

Solid Youtube channel, too!
Ted French (@TedFrench) - Solid guy, great sense of humour! I gorged on the archive of his newsletter in one night. 💪

Drops golden bombs of expired domain knowledge! I needed to swot up on this and I did. 🔥
Ryan Stewart and his The Blueprint Training - amazing #SEO knowledge and a solid agency model.

I took his approach for my own sites (don’t run an SEO agency).
Their systems and processes along with the awesome data guru David Krevitt (@dkrevitt) – leveraging Google Sheets and Data Studio) are awesome and will help you greatly whatever you're doing with SEO and beyond. 💸

Krevitt's company Coding Is For Losers is good, too.
Nick Jordan & Bojan Maric at Content & Distribution.

They run a great Facebook group called Fat Graphs Content Ops. You see a lot of big names dropping knowledge there.👊

I’ve long admired their 'pump-out great content and watch your sites grow' model. Not big on link building
Nick Jordan is @nickfromseattle and Bojan Maric is @bananabrain101. Both great guys!
I hope you're enjoyed this roundup of sorts. These were my (often indirect) mentors as I consumed content like it was going out of fashion, climbed the ranks and built my sites. 😎

Let me know if I need to check anyone out!?

⚡️Hustles & Work-Life Balance In The Content + Site Game ⚡️

Want to say something about hustle & work life balance, as it pertains to #SEO and #blogging. This came up elsewhere.

A 🧵

I know it’s a little cliche to talk work-life balance.

Grab a ☕️
Obviously, it’s important.

Especially in this game where everyone wants to get to a point where they work as little as they want. 😎

First off, people saying you can build something worthwhile with 5 hour weeks are trying to sell something.
I know this to be true.

I know from personal experience.

And I know the people selling courses based around Ferriss’ 4-hour work week, who work 18-hour days regularly.

Smoke and mirrors 🪞. Standard course selling model. Sell the dream.

But I don’t need to tell you that.👊
