The trial, which has drawn attention globally, has mainly seen fans of actor Johnny Depp rush to his side in support of the alleged abuse he suffered whilst together with actress Amber Heard during their 15-month whirlwind marriage.
But people in support of Heard are also coming forward.
👋 Meet leading psychologist and passionate feminist Dr Jessica Taylor.
The 31-year-old has been vocal about her opinions of the case, slamming the "popcorn and gossip" attitude of people at the expense of Heard.
Depp is suing Heard, his ex-wife, for $50m over an article she wrote in The Washington Post in 2018, in which she described herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse."
But fans of Johnny Depp were firmly behind him when he took to the stand to deny the allegations.
Dr Taylor said: "So many women are watching the public humiliation and character assassination of Amber Heard and realising they will never be believed or taken seriously about their own abuse, their own trauma responses and their own lives.
"Absolutely devastating."
Dr Shannon Curry, who was hired to evaluate Heard, told the court previously she had diagnosed Heard with borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder after spending time with her on two separate dates.
But Taylor told said they are controversial diagnosis
Taylor said the two disorders Heard had been diagnosed with are "highly contested controversial psychiatric labels."
The psychologist claimed she has not heard anyone use the term "histrionic personality disorder" in a non-ironic manner in years, saying is a "debunked disorder."
In another online Twitter thread, she said: "Just a reminder that for the vast majority of women who have been abused by their exes, would lose a defamation lawsuit due to lack of ‘evidence’."
Taylor also said to people accusing Heard of lying due to her lack of emotion that Depp "didn’t cry at all whilst retelling his traumas and instead laughed throughout his evidence for 3 weeks?" as she pointed out what she believes is "blatant double standards."
The trial between Depp and Heard continues on May 16, after taking a week-long break after Heard's testimony. #JohnnyDeppVsAmberHeard
