#WomenInSTEM deserve to be taken very seriously.
This INDIGENOUS scientist is crying.
It’s done in the lab with government funding. What more does an indigenous she/her scientist need to know?
She really loves the word INDIGENOUS.
The crazy people look like they’re functioning at a higher level in the Ivy Leagues, even the UC system. It seems like in Seattle and Portland they’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel, you just show up and keep saying INDIGENOUS and you get tenure in the physics dept.

Wokeness didn't start in the universities. Columbia president in 1972, responding to new affirmative action requirements from feds: "We are no longer in all respects an independent private university."

He warned they would "force administrative growth." jstor.org/stable/41822149 ImageImage
Background of the story is that Washington withheld $13.8 million in contracts because Columbia had not developed an adequate affirmative action program to hire more women and minorities. Image
Columbia asserted that it did not discriminate, but did business in a traditional sense and did not have the massive amounts of data required to prove it to Washington. The university came to accept that it would be much more bureaucratized and sex and race conscious. ImageImage

Civil rights law makes it illegal to hire by word of mouth, because it's racism. jimbovard.com/Bovard_America… Image
Also, no criminal background check for unsupervised employees who have a lot of opportunity to steal because again, racism. This stuff often gets slapped down in court, but most employers just settle or close down because it's too expensive and difficult to fight. Image
Want to fire an employee for punching their co-worker? Again, racism. Image

Here’s a superpower of liberalism: to be in power while convincing every generation that it is a rebellion. “Banned books club,” if these girls saw an actual banned book they’d be shaking. It works because young people are dumb and impressionable. washingtonpost.com/education/2022…
“The teens in Texas — who would spend the next hour sharing how they never knew people could be intersex, and wondering what other aspects of the world will remain hidden if grown-ups keep banning books — are part of a swelling movement of students”. It’s too much!
Girls are such independent thinkers. That’s why they’re the ones in the “Banned Books Club.”

Browsing through PolitiFact is amazing. A direct quote from Biden is false because it leaves out one word that does not change the meaning of the statement at all. A thread on the best ones. politifact.com/factchecks/202…
DeSantis says most student debt is graduate debt. PolitiFact says no, it's held by graduate degree holders, and includes their undergrad debt. So "Mostly False." Which ok, you took it overly literally and missed the point of the statement, which is most privileged hold most debt.
In this one they are responding to an Instagram post that says Canadian authorities can take your children away if you don't accept their "gender identity." This is rated as false because of a gov statement that gender identity can't be the "sole" reason for taking them away.

Fallacy here is overestimating the importance of voters and underestimating elites.

Libertarian economics is the only part of conservatism that appeals to high IQ and it can win over powerful allies based on interest. You can't be stupid in every way. compactmag.com/article/right-…
One can see academics, journalists, etc. as naturally leftist because they're female or low T men, and don't produce anything tangible or work with objective standards. Business can go either way, which is why conservatives make common cause with them.
You need some elites. You have to ask anyone with a political vision, who they want those elites to be. And there are only a handful of choices. And BTW, again, never trust charts like this.

Roe being overturned would have minimal short term effect on our politics. People are motivated to act politically when there’s a path to success. A Supreme Court decision is word of God. A 48 hour Current Thing at most. As for long term effects on politics, I don’t know.
A ban on affirmative action would set off new battles, as universities, etc will try to get around it. Overturning Roe leaves Red States to do what they want to do anyway. No path to changing anything. Anyone who tells you court packing is on the table is a grifter.
Every Current Thing requires a script for political action. Ukraine involves demanding more military aid, no fly zone, etc. Wokeness involves looking for next witch to cancel, etc.

A Supreme Court decision that leaves red states to do what they want doesn’t provide that.
