Elon Musk has a history of not following through. It’s past time media stop giving him the benefit of the doubt. Let’s review his past pledges and what happened. #ElonsProblems
Musk said he’d save the Thai cave boys. His device was impractical and dismissed as a “PR stunt.” He then tried to label the guy who saved the boys a “pedo.”
Musk said he’d install hundreds of batteries to power Puerto Rico after natural disasters. The technology he provided is now in disrepair and/or not functioning properly.
Musk said he was going to produce special bricks that could be used to build affordable housing.
Never happened.
Musk promised ventilators for COVID.
Hospitals said they never got them.
Musk said he’d donate $6 billion to the UN World Food Program to fight world hunger.
He never did it.
Musk said his company Neuralink would implant brain chips in humans in 2020.
The experiment was a disaster. He did not accomplish this.
Musk told workers it was okay to stay home during COVID in 2020.
Several employees who did so were then fired.
Also no evidence he followed through on this pledge to help homes in Flint.
Elon Musk wants attention so let’s give it to him. Black employees at Tesla claim they were segregated. Frequently called the n-word. Called “monkeys” by managers. The only ones made to clean and forced to do so on their hands & knees. And Tesla retaliated when they complained.
New from me: “How is it that despite #MeToo, despite several high-profile public reckonings, despite years of more data and hindsight, these educators have learned nothing?
“The faculty behavior is shameful when you consider that 1 in 5 women are sexually assaulted while in college…The faculty letter is one example of the many ways institutions discourage reporting and retraumatize those who dare to tell their story.”
I want to know why @nytimes and their political editor @halbfinger refuse to cover the story of Neil Gorsuch speaking at a closed to press partisan Federalist Society event (with Pence, DeSantis, and McEnany). A total dereliction of duty.
NEW: Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch will speak at a Florida Federalist Society event featuring Mike Pence, Ron DeSantis & Kayleigh McEnany. Total corruption.
Meanwhile Republicans claim Biden pledging to nominate a Black woman is “politicizing” the Court. Absolutely absurd.
