Russian soldiers are using rape as a weapon of war against Ukrainian women.
In the first two weeks of April alone, Ukraine says it received 400 reports of rape committed by Russian soldiers. A UN mission has received 75 allegations of rape against Ukrainians.
The Ukrainian ombudswoman for human rights described one instance to the BBC which involved about “25 girls and women aged 14 to 24” who were “systematically raped during the occupation in the basement of one house in Bucha.”
