There are Central and South zones on the #CalfCanyonFire maps. However, fire officials say there is a North Zone for contingency and planning purposes north of Angel Fire. This doesn't mean the fire will get that far.
— Work will continue near Barillas Peak, Rociada, and Gascon. There are a couple slops over the containment line on the west side. Structure group still in Pecos.

— The fire grew about 9,000 acres yesterday south of Angostura. It has not crossed the 518 to the north. However, it's likely to spot across in the next week.

— A significant investment today will be on the north end to prevent it from growing to the northeast.
— The 120 isn't seen as a great place to hold the fire, so crews will be putting in line in another spot to tie it back into the #CooksPeakFire.
The communities of Mineral Hill, San Geronimo, and Ojitos Frios are now in SET status, per San Miguel/Mora counties. San Pablo remains in GO status.
It sounds like some crews are moving to safer positions due to the large fire column. I don't know what weather alert went out if any because I had trouble getting the radio feed to load.

The #CalfCanyonFire is now the largest fire in New Mexico history. It has burned 298,060 acres, surpassing the 2012 Whitewater Baldy Fire at 297,845 acres.
There is a #RedFlagWarning in the fire area from noon until 6 p.m. today.
"Near critical fire weather conditions will be exacerbated by the development of scattered dry thunderstorms in the vicinity of the ongoing Hermit`s Peak/Calf Canyon Fire."
Brush fire — Banning (Riverside County). Trying to nail down location. This appears to be west of Highway 243 and Mt. Edna Road. Air attack on scene. This will be the #CoyoteFire.
Two tankers on scene from Hemet; another two en route from Ramona.
#CalfCanyonFire this morning is 279,868 acres and 27% contained. There are 1,924 personnel on the fire.
@NMFireInfo says the fire will be active today, but calmer winds will keep it from growing significantly. It has crossed the crest at Elk Mountain and is moving into an old fire scar. Lots of smoke from this area today.
Predictive Services: a large trough of low pressure next week could bring "several days of dry, windy conditions with critical fire weather conditions" once again. (Outlook issued yesterday.)
Brush fire — 1650 Lotus Lane, San Miguel (San Diego County). Should be able to handle with high dispatch and the Cal Fire response. This will be the #LotusFire.
Plumas sheriff has just posted on its Facebook page that there is confirmed structure loss in Feather River Canyon. They are working to get numbers and locations.
Units told to use their Hi-Lo sirens. Per scanner, they're notifying people on Pleasants Valley Road between Cherry Glen and Foothill, including all side streets.
