On Message in a Hammer I was specifically speaking to Nigerian government, so with this I was aiming my frustrations at the UK government and it’s politics and how a lot of the people in power and have the power to make the rules are completely clueless to what

disenfranchised communities go through, and really don’t have any understanding of how to help us! But still they force feed their poisonous rhetoric down us and blame us for the situations a lot of us find ourselves in, on us, when they are the ones creating it for us.

All The Difference - This song is about the moments in my life that changed everything - in the first verse, I talk about my grandmother being so proud of me and showing me off, which played a huge part in the confidence I have today.

She’d stay up with me till mad late (lantern lit) to teach my dyslexic ass how to read, and completely changed my relationship to words and reading.

In verse two I talk about the encounters I had in Norwich, the friends I met, the loves, and how those experiences shaped me musically and had a huge impact on the decisions I made, that have eventually brought me to this point.

Tinko Tinko - I wrote this from the point of view of someone I used to see and how they probably saw me at that point in the relationship.

I Wish It Was Me - This song is probably my favourite song, it’s about my family - my brother especially. I recently performed it to my family for the first time ever, the scariest day of my life!

Wind Sailor - Music is my wind sailor, the thing that carries me through it all, the thing I always fall back on no matter what is going on in my life.

There’s always a song that helps me make sense of it all! Be it one that I wrote or one that already exists! There’s always a song!
