'We found SARS-CoV-2 antibodies had reactions with 28 of 55 tissue antigens..incl barrier proteins, gastrointestinal, thyroid and neural tissues, and more...homology with the human tissue antigens mitochondria M2, F-actin and TPO' 🧵2 frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…
'Mimicry of multiple human proteins by SARS-CoV-2...expressed in arteries, lungs, esophagus, pancreas, and macrophages..HLA-A*03 restricted 8-mer peptides are shared broadly..with primary expr of the mimicked human proteins in neurons and immune cells'🧵3 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
'The involvement of the protein E in provoking an autoimmune response (after the destruction of the virus particle) seems to be highly likely'🧵4 nature.com/articles/s4159…
'We found that the dorsal motor nucleus, nucleus ambiguus, nodose ganglion, and jugular ganglion can all host neurons presenting proteins with epitopes in common with SARS-CoV-2 proteins,' 🧵5 thelancet.com/journals/lanmi…
'We hypothesize that anosmia, leukopenia, and vascular damage with multi-organ damage are associated with molecular mimicry' 🧵6 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
'damage to the respiratory pacemaker in the brainstem, also known as pre-Bötzinger complex (preBötC) [9], might contribute to respiratory failure in COVID-19 as a consequence of mimicry between viral and neuronal proteins of the preBötC' 🧵7 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
'we have identified eight SARS-CoV-2-associated cases of anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis. All had cerebrospinal fluid antibodies against the NMDA receptor and a recent onset of working memory deficits, altered mental status, or psychiatric symptoms' 🧵8 jneuroinflammation.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…
'Antibodies cross-reacting with thrombopoietin may induce thrombocytopenia...Antibodies cross-reacting with PRKG1 and tropomyosin may cause known COVID-19 complications such as blood-clotting disorders and cardiac disease, respectively.'🧵9 europepmc.org/article/ppr/pp…
From an experimental perspective, results warrant the testing of patients’ sera for autoantibodies against these protein targets. Clinically, results warrant a stringent surveillance on the future pathologic sequelae of the current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic

Molecular mimicry drives the pathogenesis of autoimmune neuropathies such as Guillain-Barré syndrome and multiple sclerosis...SARS-CoV-2 found to share EIPKEE and DKKKK hexapeptides with and HSP60 and HSP 90 (HSP90B and HSP90B2) respectively

I reviewed just a few papers here but would be interested in opinions, my brain just is NOT what it used to be...@Daltmann10@dbkell@doctorasadkhan@fitterhappierAJ@VirusesImmunity it's a disparate mix of findings but they jive with clinical pres and many findings to date...
🚨 New study, relevant to 'mystery' child #Hepatitis.
🚨69% autopsied livers SARS-COV-2 RNA +
🚨Proteomic- etc profiles show "similarities to signatures assoc with multiple other viral infections of human liver" BUT was shown to be covid inf of hep cells
@sajidjavid@HumzaYousaf@NHSuk
Evidence of DIRECT SARS-COV-2 infection of hepatic cells ➡️ interferon spike ➡️ hepatitis. Paper clearly states it may look like another virus but investigation proves IT IS NOT. It's SARS-COV-2.
Can we call this duck a duck now?
