Why has she gone there looking like some voodoo doll?! 😳😳😳

Images of Indian actresses at int'l film festival events, few decades ago and you knew they came from India! They had some grace and charm!

This @deepikapadukone looks so dreadful!

Yikes!

#CannotAbleTo 🙄
India has such exquisite handlooms and rich textile history. Unlike no other country!

This @deepikapadukone could have been doing wonders at a global level!

But she goes looking like something the cat dragged in!

Trust Indians to suck up to the West for validation!

Thoooo!😤
As Manorama asked in one movie, "Ivanga yaar?!" 🤔🤔🤔

France, where fashion industry was born, where European style flowered for centuries, looked towards India as the mother nation of textiles and ancient art.

And finally when an Indian is on the jury of one of their foremost festivals, what is she dressed in, from India?! 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️
😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴

Chaala kasht hai 🙆🏻‍♂️ Image

There are currently half a dozen people like this, claiming to be mediums and receiving messages from Satya Sai Baba in their dreams, all of them successfully fooling people and making money. We have no shortage of idiots around!

Sai Baba has no better work?! 🤔 😂
Satya Sai Baba in one of his many speeches had predicted that he would be reborn as Prem Sai Baba in Mandya dist in Karnataka. In his own lifetime, artistic images of Premasai were circulated. And that gave enough scope for several frauds to appear. Image
Here is one such guy. Some where in Mandya dist. And no shortage of people flocking! 🙄 ImageImageImage

Getting the news of the demise of my old friend, the very underrated Hindustani classical vocalist Pt Rajshekhar Mansur. He was unwell for some time. He was the son and disciple of the great Pt Mallikarjun Mansur of Dharwad.

Atma Shanti 🙏 Image
That's Rajshekar accompanying his father.

Concert sponsored by Capstan cigarettes! 😶 Image
Tonight in memory of a departed friend.

A brilliant and rare rendering of Raga Ek Nishad Bihagda recorded by Shyam Benegal long ago.

Atma Shanti Pt Rajshekhar Mansur (1942 - 2022)

Seems like a whole generation doesn't know that there was an actual revolutionary freedom fighter called #Alluri Sitarama Raju, just a century ago! This image was released by British govt. after he was shot dead in 1924.

Do read up about him! One of Andhra's greatest! 🙏🙏🙏
The 1974 movie starring Krishna in the role of Raju was a super duper hit! It was the 100th movie for Krishna. They would air it on good old @DDNational during Independence or Republic Day.
So @AlwaysRamCharan wasn't the first. I haven't watched #RRRMoive but am told he too dons the role of Raju. Many have confused his character with that of Bhagawan Rama from Ramayana and are shouting "Jai Shri Ram" in videos. Hilarious! 😂

Shocking news from Kerala. Eminent Mohiniyattam dancer Dr Neena Prasad was literally driven off the stage in the middle of her performance because a local district judge Kalam Pasha was irritated by the show!

Absolutely humiliating!

Wth is happening in Kerala?! 😡
Neena trained in Mohiniyattam for a dozen years under Gurus Kalamandalam Sugandhi and Kshemavathy, in Bharatanatyam under Guru Adyar K. Lakshman for dozen yrs, in Kuchipudi under Vempati Chinna Satyam Garu, and in Kathakali under Vembayam Appukuttan Pillai.

She is not a nobody!
She was invited to perform in Palakkad by an organisation. In the middle of the performance, everything was stopped because this Pasha sent orders via the local police. He was apparently irritated by the performance. Neena and her group of dancers had to leave.

Hot topic in a WhatsApp group. I personally think the temple did the right thing. Here is a senior aware of his responsibilities. With a Mohammadean woman at home, & several questions about the sanctity of an ancient ritual that cannot be compromised! Temple taking no chances!
It is his mistake if he couldn't bring up his son in a better way! Yes, irresponsible son should have known the repercussions of this! He is free to do whatever.

Don't talk about Secularism now. Keep it outside our temples and rituals. Certain things cannot be compromised with.
You may call them "Trads" or whatever in your hi-fi language. It doesn't matter.

If you are ritually unfit for something, you have no business there, especially if you claim to be coming from a lineage. We have seen several such lineages break because of someone's negligence.
