We recently did a deep-dive into DAOs’ most burning issues, looking for ways autonomous services might alleviate them.
We reviewed 1000s of posts from 21 different DAO forums. Focusing on natural use-cases for our stack, two major categories of issue emerged. Thread below:🧵👇
DAOs who manage protocols need to regularly tweak the settings or parameters of their protocols. This keeps them running optimally, even as conditions change.
Example: Lending protocols need to update their interest rates for lenders and borrowers according to market conditions.
Another example: Index protocols need to decide whether to keep or remove assets from their indices based on how well they're performing.
Using data from @deepdao, we analyzed the 65 largest DAO treasuries by USD value. We looked into the most popular assets, the diversity of DAO treasuries, and the yield that DAOs are earning. 👇🧵
/ Most popular assets
The top two DAOs, @Uniswap and @bitdao, control over 37% of DAO treasury value. Naturally, their native assets, $UNI and $BIT, are the assets with the largest share of value in DAO treasuries. But few other DAOs actually hold those tokens.
