NEW TODAY: @CatoInstitute is rolling out a new publication format optimized for quick/easy, digital (esp. mobile) & viewing - basically just scroll thru a condensed study in one sitting. An early project is my recent paper w @AlfredCObregon. Check it out: cato.org/study/free-tra…
But unlike the study, this version is supplemented with video, interactive charts(!), pics/quotes, and even new/different research that didn't make it in the paper - and it all "reacts" to your scrolling up/down the page. Examples:
It also allows us to have a little fun with the subject, like this transcribed video of Trump announcing steel tariffs... in a room full of steelworkers & Big Steel execs
This tweet/thread below got me thinking abt what other store shelves outside of the USA looked like right now. So I asked some friends to send me pics from other countries. Obvs, anecdotes =/= data, but here's a quick thread of the pics I received this week (so far): /1
1) Repeal all baby formula tariffs (tariff rate quotas) 2) Require the FDA to allow the importation of any formula approved by a competent regulator (EU, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, etc) 3) Reform WIC (eg, no more sole source contacts)
4) Please stop with the DPA stuff. It's not some magic incantation POTUS can yell every time there's a commercial problem (exacerbated by bad US policy)
