The Representative of UAE highlighted their country’s commitment to international cooperation to end trafficking in persons. They also noted the vital role migrants play in sustainable development and the need to make remittances less costly.
The Representative from Pakistan highlighted the need to tackle racism, discrimination and xenophobia, as well as ensuring migrants have safe access to basic services. He also called for better recognition of skills internationally.
