Ambedkar: personally I think the name of the country should not in any sense give any indication as to what are the subordinate divisions it is composed of. I, therefore, oppose the amendments and maintain that the Draft as it is

B. R. Ambedkar uses the word "Union" in deliberation and is used to just clarify that though India was to be a Federation, the Federation was not due to the result of an agreement by the States to join a Federation.
