Curious about the effect of the upgrades and setup choices of the various teams for the #SpanishGP
Want to know the different characteristics (strenghts and weaknesses) of the different #F1 cars?💡
Then this is the thread for you - can't really miss it!🏎️📈
(1/6)
-For the first time this year, Merc is the fastest in the second part of the straight!➡️The upgrades mitigated porpoising, allowing new setup choices
-Ferrari is a traction and acceleration monster
-RB was the car with the most 'balanced' properties, good everywhere
(2/6)
Compared to the FP2 minisectors, Mercedes is not the fastest in the first part of the straight anymore: they were definitely running higher engine modes in FP2 compared to others
Ferrari showed the highest improvement between FP2 and qualy, especially in corner exit
(3/6)
-For the first time Merc reached the highest speed: +3km/h on RB and +6km/h on Ferrari!
-LEC builds a massive gap in turns 5-6-7-8, thanks to an impressive traction and engine power
-RUS very fast in the fastest corner, but very slow afterwards➡️probably overcook his tyres!
(4/6)
-RUS almost doesn't lift in the fastest corner, while VER lifts significantly and LEC touches the brake, probably to lower tyre temps
-As in previous GPs, LEC is the only driver that never completely lift the throttle➡️car dynamics management
(5/6)
And that's it! What impressed you the most about the telemetry data? Did you expect Merc to suddenly shed off loads of drag, or LEC and VER to lift more than him in the very fast corner?
Comment, and share the analysis if you enjoyed it!

Some typos that I’ve noticed:
-VER time is 1.19.0, and not 1.20.0
-On the throttle/brake graph, the table about the three driver is from a previous GP
Sorry for the small mistake!
