@alexplitsas And, until that happens, citizens should think strategically when registering and voting.

In a closed primary state like Florida or New York, register in the dominant party to vote in the primary that decides the election.

1/
@alexplitsas In a semi-open primary state like North Carolina, register as Unaffiliated.

In an open primary state like Georgia, think strategically on Primary Day.

For example, on May 24 in #GA14, get a Republican ballot to vote for @StrahanJennifer to dump MTG.

@tapestrybeast @BrynnTannehill Well, unfortunately, we can thank @TheDemocrats for insisting that everything is important and, therefore, nothing is important.

Once people decide to leave, they’re better off already, even while still in place, because they have a purpose and a plan and a goal.

1/
@tapestrybeast @BrynnTannehill @TheDemocrats Seriously, blame @HillaryClinton @BillClinton for their constantly obsessive compulsive fundraising which destroyed state Democratic parties.

It’s always been all about them.

2/3
@tapestrybeast @BrynnTannehill @TheDemocrats @HillaryClinton @BillClinton In November 2021, @vademocrats left their ballot line blank in seven House of Delegates districts mostly in southwest Virginia.

Uphill candidates support the state party by helping boost turnout.

Every vote counts statewide, right?

@DiploMomMumbai Hedge funds, even if not directly involved.

When I went to @TheBrandonHonda, I was looking to establish a business relationship for reliable transportation.

I was satisfied with my purchase, even though perhaps I might have looked around, etc., maybe saving a little.

1/
@DiploMomMumbai @TheBrandonHonda I had them maintain my vehicle during my remaining years of residence in Tampa and happily recommended them.

Did they make money off of me?

I hope so.

After moving to Minnesota, I started with @RBHonda, very motivated, and now Luther Hopkins Honda, near me.

2/
@DiploMomMumbai @TheBrandonHonda @RBHonda Unfortunately, so much of American finance, etc., now takes a shorter-term view.

Loyalty is a two-way street, as a Wisconsin hospital with “at-will employment” learned the hard way when non-executives quit to accept other jobs.

Fortunately, state courts laughed loudly.

@followt85611982 @fire_madison @pixiemenace @WendyforWNC To answer from outside NC, they’re all residents of the former non-gerrymandered #NC14, becoming the new non-gerrymandered #NC11.

Many - but not enough - of them were also idealistic Democrats, good people, who focused on a great candidate @ColMorrisDavis for November.

1/
@followt85611982 @fire_madison @pixiemenace @WendyforWNC @ColMorrisDavis If a single party dominates a district, such as the Republicans in WNC #NC11, well, I respectfully suggest that citizens register and vote strategically.

In NC, those without personal Democratic political ambitions should register Unaffiliated, to pick your primary.

2/
@followt85611982 @fire_madison @pixiemenace @WendyforWNC @ColMorrisDavis As a practical matter, if the November General Election will be decided in the dominant party’s primary, request that ballot to help pick the winner.

Every primary vote Against the incumbent weakens the party in November.

Ask @EricCantor.

@AnnaForFlorida Respectfully, the #Florida Constitution doesn’t require the parliamentary system, so exact proportionality has never been an objective.

The current #FL05 is an obvious racial gerrymander - look at the map - and these look more compact.

1/
@AnnaForFlorida #FL26 looks gerrymandered because of two population centers which will require two congressional district offices; not much in common.

The more urban areas include some creative lines for minority access, but, okay.

A legitimate issue is representation.

2/
@AnnaForFlorida Then-Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fl-20) responsibly announced his pancreatic cancer diagnosis in January 2019.

He should not have sought re-election.

Maybe @FlaDems urged him, but he chose to run; @Sheila4Congress challenged him; @browarddems @PBCDemParty nominated Hastings.

@TheRickWilson On the other hand, #FL20 was vacant for almost a year and it’s not clear that anyone noticed.

Seriously, then-Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL-20) in January 2019 responsibility announced his pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

He should not have sought re-election in 2020.

1/
@TheRickWilson @GovRonDeSantis’ character was already clear in mid-2019.

Maybe @FlaDems @browarddems @PBCDemParty urged him to retire, but in any event, he ran again in 2020, was renominated and re-elected, and, sadly, passed away in April 2021, less than 100 days in.

Not a surprise.

2/
@TheRickWilson @GovRonDeSantis @FlaDems @browarddems @PBCDemParty So, a long delay in @GovRonDeSantis scheduling the Special Election; @BrowardVotes and @votepalmbeach should have matched the August primary and November general elections elsewhere in #Florida for simplicity.

And similarly for the state legislators who resigned to run.

@CarlosGSmith Let me answer your question, how did we @FlaDems let it happen:

In 2018, @browarddems didn’t bother to check out the draft @BrowardVotes @Brenda4SOE General Election ballot early enough to fix any problems identified by such a standard review.

1/
@CarlosGSmith @FlaDems @browarddems @BrowardVotes @Brenda4SOE Thus, nobody fixed the ballot design flaw that caused a significant undervote in the Senate race that @SenBillNelson narrowly lost.

@FlaDems also passed on the electable @GwenGraham, as GOP passed on @adamputnam. Enough said.

Let’s go to @MiamiDadeDems in 2020.

2/
@CarlosGSmith @FlaDems @browarddems @BrowardVotes @Brenda4SOE @SenBillNelson @GwenGraham @adamputnam @MiamiDadeDems Nobody wants to ask @JoseJavierJJR when his team first checked out the #SD37 NPA mystery candidate’s claimed residence address:

June 12, 2020 filing deadline

July

August

September

October?

No subpoena required to knock on the door.
