๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Let's spend a minute honestly talking about President Biden's approval ratings, and the reason they continue to slump: Democrats.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ You heard me right: DEMOCRATS

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Hear me out:
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ In poll after poll, the president's approvals have been dropping off because more and more Democrats are disappointed in his performance.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Lately, about 75% of Democrats approve of the job he's doing, down from 95% at the start of his presidency.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Republicans' disdain for Biden and our nation have remained predictably static, about 95%, presumably because he really does go to church each Sunday, and actually practices what is being preached ...
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธYou'd expect Republicans to try to tank Biden's approvals. You wouldn't expect Democrats to do that. Or would you, Senators Manchin and Sinema ...?
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ And you can say, well, don't listen to the polls, they are just meaningless numbers ... But you'd be wrong. The higher Biden's numbers the better off it is for the Democrats running in these senatorial and congressional races that we absolutely, positively HAVE TO HAVE.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The future of our democracy literally depends on it.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ If those numbers were even halved, to say 85%, Biden's approvals would be strong, and the wind would be at Democrats' backs as we head into Midterms and try to preserve our democracy.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ And, look, I am not asking you to dress up in some tacky outfit, and hang Biden flags on your cars and bow down and scream for him -- that's idol-worship and the Republican way -- but I am asking just what in the fuck you think you are accomplishing by talking the guy down?
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ He's not perfect. But DEAR GOD, he's miles better than the alternative.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ From Day 1, he's rolled out of the rack each day and gone to work on behalf of America and the world to douse the dumpster fire he inherited from the disgraced former president, who's final act was an attempted coup. Once again: WHO'S FINAL ACT WITH AN ATTEMPTED COUP.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Or do you miss the orange fascist he replaced, who used to roll out of the rack each day, grab his nuclear-powered cell phone and tweet about shithole cities, fictional caravans, chugging Lysol, women's looks, and WHO LIED 30,573 TIMES. That is a fact. Good times, eh?
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธMe? I like a president who opposes Putin, NOT kisses his ass. I like a president who supports AND BUILDS NATO, not tears it apart. I like a president who calls out murderous dictators, not writes them love letters. I like a president who respects women, not insults them.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ I like a president who protects our country, not attacks it ...
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ With very, very few exceptions, Biden has done what he said he was going to do. Virtually the only time he has been stopped is by ... Democrats. Again, you can count on Republicans to work against the best interests of most Americans, so that's a given.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ What isn't a given, is the damage Manchin and Sinema have done to this country and our president, harpooning, among many other things, Voting Rights legislation and programs aimed at cutting childhood poverty in half.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Time and again, they have done whatever is necessary to make sure Biden's momentum is stopped, because that is exactly what they are being paid to do. They are despicable and awful and can rot in hell.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธBut we have a chance to make both of them irrelevant if we simply elect more Democrats this November. And we do that by staying together as a party, not beating up on each other.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธIf we stay together, we win. And if we win, we save democracy.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Then we can really go to work on things like protecting women's rights and voting rights once and for all.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ So if President Biden comes up in conversation, or you are actually asked about him, I'd encourage you to support him as a Democrat and as an American. Tearing him down is only doing Republicans' rotten, anti-American work for them.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ #VoteBlueIn2022

-Thanks

โ˜‘๏ธ ANSWER: One Week.

โ˜‘๏ธ QUESTION: How long does it take for most white people in America to move on after a White Supremacist guns down 10 black people in a supermarket?
*This country is so monumentally evil and fucked up it's literally unbelievable. There are more guns than people. Seriously W-T-F??????
**DO NOT allow the media and our politicians to move on from Buffalo. Our black brothers and sisters are being hunted for sport. The very "law enforcement" that refused to see January 6 coming -- because, well, white people would never do that -- continues to fail us mightily.

โ›ณ๏ธ There are a helluva lot consequential things happening in the world right now, but I want to spend a minute on Jack Nicklaus and his free fall from grace.

โ›ณ๏ธ That this man, perhaps golf's greatest winner, would triple down on his support for a loser like Trump is galling ...
โ›ณ๏ธ There was a time I earned a salary covering golf in 80s, as absurd as that might sound. I came across Nicklaus in several press tents. He was always polite, well-spoken and generally steered as far away from controversy as he did bunkers ...

โ›ณ๏ธ That slowly began to change ...
โ›ณ๏ธ In 1994, he was asked by a Canadian reporter to account for the lack of black people who play the game. He replied that, โ€œBlacks have different muscles that react in different ways.โ€

โ›ณ๏ธ That, of course, is a full-blown, ugly, racist comment.

โ›ณ๏ธ But he was mostly forgiven ...

๐Ÿ“Œ57 House Republicans stand with Putin; White Supremacists are slaughtering POC; the SC is coming after women's rights & defending dark money; Republicans want no accountability for the murderous attempted coup that a SC Justice's wife helped fund & plan.

๐Ÿ“ŒWhere's the justice?
๐Ÿ“ŒSure, we'll vote, but this all getting away from us very quickly. And by "all" I mean our freedoms, decency, democracy, and the hope that our children will be better off than we are. We are sliding backwards ...
๐Ÿ“ŒAnd you could say, "Hey, we sat on our hands and did nothing while the GOP coordinated this takeover of our courts; made money a person; gutted voting rights; made guns as easy to get as candy ..."

๐Ÿ“ŒThing is, the people I vote with aren't this sinister - don't think this way.

๐Ÿ“ŒBeen an interesting 24 hours.

๐Ÿ“ŒWent out with a post sticking up for VP Harris. Took issue with the lack of respect she's gotten from Day 1. Opined that a lot of it had to do with her race and misogyny in this country.

๐Ÿ“ŒThe hate that post unleashed was chilling.

๐Ÿ“ŒGet this:
๐Ÿ“ŒLast I checked, there were over 13,000 QTs just slamming her and me. It was a feeding frenzy.

๐Ÿ“ŒMy feed and DMs were littered with some of the most disgusting stuff I've ever seen -- perverted, threatening ...

๐Ÿ“ŒThere was also some polite pushback, but very little of it.
๐Ÿ“ŒI take heart with the 55,000+ out there who supported her and the tweet, and the many thousands more who RT'd.

๐Ÿ“ŒBut I had to delete the thing, because I'll be honest, it got scary. So apologies.

๐Ÿ“ŒI also wrote this in real time describing the mayhem: enoughalreadynow.com/the-big-lie-beโ€ฆ

๐Ÿ—ž๏ธJust so you know, 99% of the print journalists out there are disgusted by what these NYT reporters are pulling with this fucking book deal.

๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ I know folks are plenty fed up with journalism in this country, and I get it. So a quick defense and a scolding ...

(cont.)
๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ What these NYT reporters pulled with this Kevin McCarthy scoop is not taught anywhere, and is certainly not practiced in any of the newsrooms I am familiar with.

๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ Print journalists are taught, and reminded, again and again that they work for one person -- THE READER.
๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ Every decision that is made in a newsroom should consider only ONE thing: How will this decision affect our readers who trust us and pay our salaries?

๐Ÿ“ŒAmerica needs to understand what is happening here in Wisconsin 485 DAYS after Joe Biden won the election by 7+ million votes.

๐Ÿ“ŒThe fathead pictured here is Michael Gableman, an enemy of democracy. The State GOP used $676,000 in taxpayer money & hired him to find fraud ... Image
๐Ÿ“ŒThey did this, of course, because the twice-impeached, one-term huckster, full-time loser, covid-spreading, and Putin ass-kisser, Trump, had a gun to their head and ordered them to.

๐Ÿ“ŒLet me say this again: THEY USED TAXPAYER MONEY TO DO THIS ...
๐Ÿ“ŒSo yesterday, this blowhard turned around a 136-page "interim report" which is full of so much crap, there's not a dog in the state who will even sniff it.

๐Ÿ“ŒThere's already been hundreds of thousands of additional taxpayer money spent in the courts that turned up NOTHING.
