DISSOLVE THE UNION - MARCH FOR INDEPENDENCE

On 11 June we march at Dumfries. All Under One Banner calls for maximum participation from people across the Yes movement. Together, let's make manifest a powerful demonstration for Independence Now - and intensify the campaign. (1)

DISSOLVE THE UNION - FOR DEMOCRACY

For a considerable period of time Scotland has voted for political parties and policies that have not been represented in any way by Westminster Governments. The latest example of this is the awful Tory Government led by Boris Johnson. (2)

People in Scotland should be governed by a Government of their choice, and not one imposed on them. Only by dissolving the Union and realising independence will we be able to ensure we always get the Government that we vote for. It is our right to decide. Dissolve the Union. (3)

DISSOLVE THE UNION - MAKE POVERTY HISTORY 

A consequence of Westminster rule is the normalisation of Poverty. In Scotland 17-20: 24% children, 14% pensioners & 61% of working age live in Poverty. The figures will be higher now. UK Govt have created a 'cost of living crisis'. (4)

Energy Companies, Oil Companies & Arms Manufacturers are making enormous profits whilst record numbers of people in Scotland face huge difficulties in heating their homes and putting food on the table. This, despite Scotland being a wealthy Nation rich in Natural resources. (5)

The prioritisation of profit over people is the perpetual cost of Union crisis - and so it's only by dissolving the Union and realising independence that we can make poverty history for the people of Scotland. This country will flourish with independence. Dissolve the Union. (6)

DISSOLVE THE UNION - BAIRNS NOT BOMBS

The war in Ukraine has highlighted the continuing danger of nuclear missiles. Less than 30 miles from Glasgow, the UK's fleet of submarines are sited at Faslane. Nuclear convoys pass through population centres, risking millions of lives. (7)

These weapons of mass destruction cost billions upon billions of pounds, and are opposed by the majority of people who reside in Scotland. Only by dissolving the Union and realising independence will we be able to live safely, in a Nuclear Free country. Dissolve the Union. (8)

DISSOLVE THE UNION - CLIMATE ACTION NOW

Scotland has long been used by Westminster as a location to: test & store biological / chemical weapons, dump & store toxic munitions, dump & store nuclear waste / radium contaminants, and live firing ranges for aircraft and warships. (9)

Our planet faces environmental destruction due to global warming. While independence in itself would not solve this, it does bring about the potential for Scotland to become a world leader in renewable energy. Scotland is rich with natural resources. Dissolve the Union. (10)

Only by dissolving the Union and realising independence will Scotland be able to decontaminate, and achieve its potential of harvesting safe, clean, affordable energy. Scotland will flourish with independence. Dissolve the Union. (11)

DISSOLVE THE UNION - CEASE WARMONGERING AND COLONIALISM

While the days of Colonialism are largely in the past, Westminster Govts like to pretend that the UK is, and will remain, a major world power. History has shown the UK's role as being one of the oppressor & enslaver. (12)

Only by dissolving the Union and realising independence will we be able to ensure we are no longer dragged into and down by warmongering & colonialism. This will also make it much more difficult for Westminster to be party to disastrous, illegal wars such as the one in Iraq. (13)

DISSOLVE THE UNION - EXPUNGE RACISM AND XENOPHOBIA

As a way of deflecting criticism for their own failed policies, Westminster Govts have sought to blame refugees and migrants for the UK's economic woes. (14)

The consequences of this are that desperate people are dying in the North Sea and the Mediterranean. Sending people to Rwanda defies all standards of decency. Only by dissolving the Union and realising independence can we expunge racism and xenophobia. Dissolve the Union. (15)

DISSOLVE THE UNION - DEFEND OUR NHS

The NHS in Scotland has been underfunded for years, with Scottish Governments working with a paltry sum of money from Westminster to run a country with - which itself is but a small portion of the total annual funds that Scotland pays in. (16)

It could not be clearer that in this so called Union it is Scotland itself which is underfunded- despite being rich in wealth and resources. Only by dissolving the Union and realising independence will Scotland be able to deliver a fit for purpose NHS. Dissolve the Union. (17)

SCOTLAND CAN'T WAIT - SET THE DATE

The Scottish Govt have promised a referendum before the end of 2023. We call on the First Minister and Govt to assert self determination now, and put Legislation through Parliament. Now is the time for bold action to ignite the campaign. (18)
