1./ Why does the case of Mike Webberley matter even more than you might think? The trans lobby will dismiss as an exception the doctor who was struck off yesterday for doling out powerful hormones to under age kids. In truth Mike Webberley was the lobby's model for the future.👇
2./ How do we know that? One way is to look at the reaction after Mike and Helen Webberley's clinic (which Mike ran) was first investigated by the Welsh health authorities in 2018. Helen was eventually fined £12000 for operating without a license.👇
walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-new…
3./ Yet, even after her conviction for providing healthcare illegally in late 2018, Mermaids continued to recommend her errant clinic on their website. Did they not care about safeguarding? Or did they think a hormone free-for-all was the way forward? Or both. You decide.👇
4./ The Webberleys' @GenderGP website still carries supportive messages from a who's who of the trans lobby supporting them after they were charged. From Sue Pascoe to Juno Dawson they express solidarity with doctors who'd be convicted of illegally providing healthcare.👇
5./ Perhaps they didn't realise the Webberleys had been refused a licence. Or maybe they agreed with Helen and Mike's stated opinion that GenderGP should offer "Transgender patients of all ages who come to our service access to medical care”.
gendergp.com/words-of-endor…
6./ What we do know is the driving conviction of the trans lobby for years has been that any child whatever age "knows who they are" and many activists go further: arguing any mental health "assessments" are dehumanising and unethical. The Webberleys took this approach.
7./ A journalist from the @Telegraph in 2021, posing as a 15 year old girl was prescribed testosterone by the Webberleys' clinic after one skype session with a doctor who neither asked for her parents permission nor probed her claim she was "male". 👇
telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/02/2…
8./ The prescribing doctor said, "it was 'excellent' that, aged 15, she knew she never wanted to have children." What a brave new world in which life changing drugs are handed out to kids who think they can guess what they might feel in a decade's time about their fertility. 🙄
9./ The thing to remember, is this clinic wasn't set up at random. Here's Helen Webberley admitting she discussed the service with Brendan and the late Terry Reed who founded the important lobby group @GIRESUK who were supportive but warned them about the risks they faced.👇
10./ According to the Webberleys the Reeds warned them other doctors might complain about their lack of restrictions just as they had about Russell Reid (the trans "health care" pioneer who doled out hormones to a woman who thought she was Jesus).👇
theguardian.com/uk/2006/nov/01…
11./ You might think the founders of @GIRESUK would have thought the lesson from Reid's appalling mistakes was that they needed to be more careful about who they gave drugs to. But if Webberley is to be believed that was NOT their concern. Why would you NOT care about that?
12./ A clue comes from the video output of GIRES in 2015 and 2016 when the Webberleys were establishing their clinic in Wales. Here's a GIRES video from then that interviews a mother who wants her child put on puberty blockers. The child is 10 years old.👇
13./ Why does this matter now? GIRES are one of the 5 groups who sponsored and funded the 2020 Gender Identity Conversion Therapy Survey which last week was sent to all Parliamentarians. It's a piece of garbage "science" that's full of holes but that's for another time.
14./ The important thing to note is that the two founders of GIRES who were on the project team for this survey provided guidance to the Webberleys who went on to break almost every rule on prescribing puberty blockers and cross sex hormones; one of whom has just been struck off.
15./ The astonishing thing is GIRES were paid by the NHS to produce their videos that promoted puberty blockers for as young an age as possible. Here's one in which a clinician waxes creepily about giving a boy blockers ASAP before he "changes". 👇
16./ Of course it's not just lobby groups and LGBTQ+ surveys that push the same agenda as the discredited Webberleys. Check out the coverage in the so-called gay press about the ghoulish drug pushers. Here's Pink News giving one of the Webberleys an uncritical platform.
17./ Here's Pink News suggesting Webberley's suspension for breaking the law and subsequent court case was itself transphobic. Yes, health regulators insisting on standards designed to protect kids is transphobic....apparently.
18./ Transphobia? Surely, if you cared about "trans kids" you'd want them to get proper advice and care? Mike Webberley gave a 9 year old blockers after a 20 minute session. A fucking nine year old whom he hadn't even asked about "gender dysphoria". telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/05/2…
19./ Pink News and other blocker promoters in the gender identity lobby often make much (too much) of the suicidality of young people. Yet...so far...not a peep about a kid who actually did commit suicide under the incompetent care of the Webberleys.👇
dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…
20./ The contrast couldn't be sharper between the silence about the crimes of the Webberleys (a straight couple) and the fictional scandal of a well-meaning and respected gay psychotherapist @Doctor_Az_ who did nothing more than try to ward a kid away from medicalisation. 👇
21./ The Webberleys weren't just criminal. This straight couple actively argued against the overwhelming evidence that most kids who experience gender dysphoria are LGB. Here's a gay paper giving Helen Webberley a platform to survey gay peeps to try to disprove that.🤪
22./ Something has gone fundamentally - historically- wrong in what used to be the gay movement when it actively conspires with wayward clinicians who flagrantly ignore the law and medical guidelines so they can interfere with the natural and normal development of gay teenagers.
23./ So no, the Webberleys aren't outliers. They're the secret mainstream; providing what, in effect, Stonewall, and the other lobby groups, argue should be the standard NHS approach: every child's fantasy should be affirmed, parents ignored, mental health checks scrapped.
24./ Young people are, for them, a means to an end: a palette with which they hope to create some warped revolutionary future in which sex is irrelevant and your gender is an ever-changing obsession. If only we could do to this crazy lobby what the GMC just did to Mike Webberley.
25./ The final irony about the Webberleys? They, and their allies, claim their treatment was transphobic. But of the two doctors who complained about their clinic's criminal behaviour one was a transman. Well done 'him'. If only gay people could look after their own as much.

1./ Why should we be delighted trans activist Jane Fae feels "beyond shock...beyond grief" at males being excluded from the Women's Institute and Girl Guides? Fae is a one man argument for keeping blokes out of women's spaces. Let me tell you why.👉
metro.co.uk/2025/12/04/gir…
2./ When trans identified killer Scarlet Blake was convicted of murder Fae took to the airwaves to argue he should be jailed in a woman's prison. Indeed all prisons should be mixed sex, said Fae. But then Fae has quite the record of downplaying threats of sexual violence.👉 Image
3./ When Fae was still called John Ozimek he campaigned against attempts to restrict the most depraved and violent pornography, including necrophilia. He even offered advice on how to circumvent new regulations so users could keep extreme images beyond the reach of the cops. Image

1./ 🧵Who is Destroying the BBC?
In my latest article I argue uncritical cheerleaders like Alastair Campbell, Alan Rusbridger and Kirstie Allsop will be the death of the BBC. They merely reinforce an arrogant BBC culture I saw for myself when I worked with Alan Yentob. Image
2./ When Yentob died in May he was lauded as the very embodiment of the BBC. You'd hardly have guessed his career had been dogged by decades of scandal involving expen$e$. I first met Alan in 2002 when I was asked to direct the first episode of 'Imagine' a new arts series. Image
Image
3./ It was no secret the BBC was trying to find a new role for Yentob. Headlines about lavish parties at Glastonbury and Cannes were bad enough. He also called questions by the National Audit Office "tiring" and waved away criticism by the press with an Antoinette complacency. Image

1./ 🧵Why does the 'furry' obsession of Thomas Crook -who tried to assassinate @realDonaldTrump - matter? Furry subculture emerged out of the same cross-dressing fetishism and Queer Theory amorality that drives the trans lobby. Let me tell you about the link. 👉
1 of/15. Image
2./ Furries emerged innocently enough out of comic book fan groups who liked to dress up -or cosplay- as their favourite characters, as here at the 1982 San Diego Comicon. The same year Steve Gallaci began publishing his highly influential anthropomorphic sci fi comic books. 👉 Image
3./ Gallaci's work full of animal-headed aliens with huge eyes drew from the design palette of Japanese anime which had long played with the shifting boundaries between seemingly childish, innocent imagery and a more sinister (even bestial...) pornographic vibe. 👇 Image

1./ 🧵Want proof the 'gender critical' movement is winning? Just 3 years ago the child-castration lobby group Mermaids was in court trying to strip @AllianceLGB of its charity status. Their witness arguments now sound even crazier than they did then. 👉theguardian.com/society/2022/n…
2./ Paul Roberts (he/him...surprise surprise) from the LGBT+ Consortium railed against @BevJacksonAuth for suggesting "male-bodied people however they identify do not belong in women's prisons. Or any other women's spaces." Her view is now backed by the Supreme Court.🍾🎉🥳 Image
Image
3./ As other proof of alleged bigotry Paul Roberts (he/him) cited a tweet by @AllianceLGB criticising cops for publicly supporting the trans lobby. This year a court agreed, ruling this kind of behaviour undermines the impartiality of the cops. Whoops.

1./ 🧵The BBC's Guilt.
Defenders of the BBC keep insisting it never promoted trans ideology. Yet here's more snippets from the BBC's own schools materials. In this clip primary school kids are told they can be born with a gender identity different from their body. 👇
2./ Telling children they might be born in the wrong body is profoundly confusing. When they experience puberty they may assume any discomfort they feel is due to this. Here's a woman who had her breasts removed cos she thinks she's male telling kids "everything fits now". 🤦‍♂️
3./ Here's a clip from the same BBC schools video in which the letters in LGBTQ+ are explained. Primary schools kids are told that Q can mean Queer or Questioning. Aren't most school kids likely to be ... "questioning" and therefore presume Q refers to them? 🤔👀

1./ 🧵The BBC Litmus Test. The reaction to claims of bias shows how low BBC cheerleaders have fallen. Morally. @arusbridger, @bbcnickrobinson, @JohnSimpsonNews, @davidyelland & @DAaronovitch accuse BBC opponents of exploiting the claims. Let me tell you why they're so wrong. 👉 Image

2./ The BBC didn't just twist news coverage to suit the political agenda of activists including its Pride group. As I pointed out yesterday it promoted trans ideology in schools where BBC educational materials argued there were 100+ gender identities.👇
3./ The tribal instinct to protect the BBC meant @RichardBentall ridiculed the notion, claiming @piersmorgan "was speaking bullshit". This Professor of Clinical Psychology ignored the fact I'd linked to a BBC schools video doing just that. Here's where things get really dark.👉
