1./ Why does the case of Mike Webberley matter even more than you might think? The trans lobby will dismiss as an exception the doctor who was struck off yesterday for doling out powerful hormones to under age kids. In truth Mike Webberley was the lobby's model for the future.👇
2./ How do we know that? One way is to look at the reaction after Mike and Helen Webberley's clinic (which Mike ran) was first investigated by the Welsh health authorities in 2018. Helen was eventually fined £12000 for operating without a license.👇
walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-new…
3./ Yet, even after her conviction for providing healthcare illegally in late 2018, Mermaids continued to recommend her errant clinic on their website. Did they not care about safeguarding? Or did they think a hormone free-for-all was the way forward? Or both. You decide.👇
4./ The Webberleys' @GenderGP website still carries supportive messages from a who's who of the trans lobby supporting them after they were charged. From Sue Pascoe to Juno Dawson they express solidarity with doctors who'd be convicted of illegally providing healthcare.👇
5./ Perhaps they didn't realise the Webberleys had been refused a licence. Or maybe they agreed with Helen and Mike's stated opinion that GenderGP should offer "Transgender patients of all ages who come to our service access to medical care”.
gendergp.com/words-of-endor…
6./ What we do know is the driving conviction of the trans lobby for years has been that any child whatever age "knows who they are" and many activists go further: arguing any mental health "assessments" are dehumanising and unethical. The Webberleys took this approach.
7./ A journalist from the @Telegraph in 2021, posing as a 15 year old girl was prescribed testosterone by the Webberleys' clinic after one skype session with a doctor who neither asked for her parents permission nor probed her claim she was "male". 👇
telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/02/2…
8./ The prescribing doctor said, "it was 'excellent' that, aged 15, she knew she never wanted to have children." What a brave new world in which life changing drugs are handed out to kids who think they can guess what they might feel in a decade's time about their fertility. 🙄
9./ The thing to remember, is this clinic wasn't set up at random. Here's Helen Webberley admitting she discussed the service with Brendan and the late Terry Reed who founded the important lobby group @GIRESUK who were supportive but warned them about the risks they faced.👇
10./ According to the Webberleys the Reeds warned them other doctors might complain about their lack of restrictions just as they had about Russell Reid (the trans "health care" pioneer who doled out hormones to a woman who thought she was Jesus).👇
theguardian.com/uk/2006/nov/01…
11./ You might think the founders of @GIRESUK would have thought the lesson from Reid's appalling mistakes was that they needed to be more careful about who they gave drugs to. But if Webberley is to be believed that was NOT their concern. Why would you NOT care about that?
12./ A clue comes from the video output of GIRES in 2015 and 2016 when the Webberleys were establishing their clinic in Wales. Here's a GIRES video from then that interviews a mother who wants her child put on puberty blockers. The child is 10 years old.👇
13./ Why does this matter now? GIRES are one of the 5 groups who sponsored and funded the 2020 Gender Identity Conversion Therapy Survey which last week was sent to all Parliamentarians. It's a piece of garbage "science" that's full of holes but that's for another time.
14./ The important thing to note is that the two founders of GIRES who were on the project team for this survey provided guidance to the Webberleys who went on to break almost every rule on prescribing puberty blockers and cross sex hormones; one of whom has just been struck off.
15./ The astonishing thing is GIRES were paid by the NHS to produce their videos that promoted puberty blockers for as young an age as possible. Here's one in which a clinician waxes creepily about giving a boy blockers ASAP before he "changes". 👇
16./ Of course it's not just lobby groups and LGBTQ+ surveys that push the same agenda as the discredited Webberleys. Check out the coverage in the so-called gay press about the ghoulish drug pushers. Here's Pink News giving one of the Webberleys an uncritical platform.
17./ Here's Pink News suggesting Webberley's suspension for breaking the law and subsequent court case was itself transphobic. Yes, health regulators insisting on standards designed to protect kids is transphobic....apparently.
18./ Transphobia? Surely, if you cared about "trans kids" you'd want them to get proper advice and care? Mike Webberley gave a 9 year old blockers after a 20 minute session. A fucking nine year old whom he hadn't even asked about "gender dysphoria". telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/05/2…
19./ Pink News and other blocker promoters in the gender identity lobby often make much (too much) of the suicidality of young people. Yet...so far...not a peep about a kid who actually did commit suicide under the incompetent care of the Webberleys.👇
dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…
20./ The contrast couldn't be sharper between the silence about the crimes of the Webberleys (a straight couple) and the fictional scandal of a well-meaning and respected gay psychotherapist @Doctor_Az_ who did nothing more than try to ward a kid away from medicalisation. 👇
21./ The Webberleys weren't just criminal. This straight couple actively argued against the overwhelming evidence that most kids who experience gender dysphoria are LGB. Here's a gay paper giving Helen Webberley a platform to survey gay peeps to try to disprove that.🤪
22./ Something has gone fundamentally - historically- wrong in what used to be the gay movement when it actively conspires with wayward clinicians who flagrantly ignore the law and medical guidelines so they can interfere with the natural and normal development of gay teenagers.
23./ So no, the Webberleys aren't outliers. They're the secret mainstream; providing what, in effect, Stonewall, and the other lobby groups, argue should be the standard NHS approach: every child's fantasy should be affirmed, parents ignored, mental health checks scrapped.
24./ Young people are, for them, a means to an end: a palette with which they hope to create some warped revolutionary future in which sex is irrelevant and your gender is an ever-changing obsession. If only we could do to this crazy lobby what the GMC just did to Mike Webberley.
25./ The final irony about the Webberleys? They, and their allies, claim their treatment was transphobic. But of the two doctors who complained about their clinic's criminal behaviour one was a transman. Well done 'him'. If only gay people could look after their own as much.

1./ What's the truth about Neil Gaiman and Scientology? Was his allegedly abusive behaviour influenced by his immersion in a pathological cult? Gaiman claims he was a member only as a child but in my latest article I argue this can't be true.

2./ Gaiman's parents were leading Scientologists when he was a boy. Most of his family still are. Here's his mother Shiela and sister Lizzy joining him in 2013 for the naming of a street after a semi-autobiographical novel. Both are nothing short of Scientology royalty.
3./ In the book a 7 year old's life is upended by a suicide. When Gaiman was 7 Scientology was plunged into crisis when a South African Scientology student committed suicide at the Gaimans' home. Just as Neil Gaiman now denies allegations of abuse his dad concocted a mad story. Image

1./ 🧵Was everyone who supported the "trans child" charity Mermaids a predatory scumbag, like Neil Gaiman? I suppose most were like Amanda Palmer. They knew what was happening and were more than happy to be accomplices. Image
2./ This surreal image is of Gaiman and Palmer as King and Queen of the annual Mermaid Parade in New York. In a creepy Sandman type twist the Parade has a special place in the trans mythology the couple supported so publicly, including financially.

3./ One of the key texts used to promote trans ideas to kids is 'Julian is a Mermaid'. In thousands of schools it's presented as an uplifting tale of a young boy who finds "his true self." Let me tell you why it's actually a profoundly disturbing book.👉Image

1./ 🧵Stephen Fry and Britain's Failure to Take Child Abuse Seriously. Our headlines are dominated by the scandal of institutions that refused to protect girls for fear of seeming "racist". My latest article suggests Stephen Fry's knighthood is from the same copybook.

2./ In a society that took child abuse seriously Stephen Fry's long track record of minimising child sexual exploitation would have disbarred him from the nation's top honour. In Fry's first play 'Latin' an adult teacher sexually abuses a 13 year old boy and takes him to Morocco. Image
3./ The boy writes back to his schoolmates praising the country which he claims takes a relaxed attitude to sex between men and underage boys. They petition to visit. Fry's interest in adolescent boys continues in 'Hippopotamus' in which a 15 year old has sex with adults.Image

1./ The Elon problem. Now @Nigel_Farage has been dumped by @elonmusk and Jess Phillips traduced by him it's time people remembered he has a track record of baseless attacks on innocent people. Like the time he called a brave rescue diver... "pedo guy".
theguardian.com/technology/201…
2./ British diver Vern Unsworth was leading the attempt to rescue schoolboys trapped in a Thai cave. That attempt -against all the odds- ended in spectacular success. Musk tho had publicly dismissed the team's chances. Worse still he insisted the team use his experimental tech.
3./ Unsworth rejected Musk's offer of a mini submarine which had never been used for rescue and which he knew would not work. After much online tit for tat he described the sub idea as a PR Stunt. For that offence Musk labelled him "pedo guy", a disgusting, unwarranted slur.

1./ A Puberty Blockers Triumph. The UK permanently bans blockers for under 18s. Many brave people fought for this but ONLY ONE lesbian and gay group did. This was the little film I directed for @alliancelgb about the scandal. It moved some to tears.👇
2./ LGB Alliance was relentlessly defamed by @owenjonesjourno, the creeps at Pink News and the rest of the immoral LGBTQ+ lobby who used government money to campaign FOR the effective sterilisation of kids. With small donations @AllianceLGB fought back with posters like this. Image
3./ It is worth remembering that only 2 years ago NOT ONE newspaper would take the ad and @TfL refused to put it on buses or the tube. @KateBMwriting was forced to hire vans to take the message round Westminster as she sought to alert politicians to the tragedy. Image

1./ My latest article dissects the career of a woman who may be one of the most dishonest people in public life: Ruth Hunt. She turned Stonewall into a wing of the toxic trans lobby despite saying she wouldn't. That was only the start of her disregard for ethics. Image
2./ How ethical was Hunt's behaviour at Stonewall? In the 2016 accounts there's an intriguing note referring to payments of £68,400 made to Caroline Ellis. She was and still is Ruth Hunt's partner. The payments were "conducted at arms length" the note assures us. If you say so. Image
3./ Ellis and Hunt are still in business together. Tho it's more obviously above board now. They run a consultancy together that teaches managers in NHS Trusts how to use pronouns. And presumably how to tie their shoelaces. If you have money to burn...these are your gals. Image
