🐻: the world is unfamiliar/unknown, so it’s filled with magic/wonderment that we need to unpack one by one. The right way to do so is through exploration and innovation! What new things have you found out today?
🐻: Learning new skillls and knowledge can open up new doors for you to explore the world! For example, I’m learning lots of things, but there hasn’t been anything new recently…I’m just working hard to get my skydiving license right now! The weather is really nice as well too~
~Today’s TMI~
OP is older than kun but said he’s so handsome they’re still tempted to call him ‘ge’ 😂 OP said they’re inspired by Kun’s cooking skills and have been trying to get up to Kun’s level so their friends have been trying out their dishes as well. It’s also OP’s bday +
+ so they saved one of their bday wishes to wish WayV well~
🐻: Kun ge and all akseo staff & listeners wishing you happy birthday! Hoping you’ll be able to succeed in making more yummy dishes for ur friends to try as well~
~My Personal Playlist~
[1st song: “Hoppipolla” by Sigur Ros]
OP’s message was in korean, but I think they asked about Kun’s favorite pop song recently
🐻: The Weeknd’s “Out of Time”! I really like it and have been replaying it constantly recently~ I think the beats were +
+ originally from a Japanese artist’s song from a while back and The Weeknd sampled it and wrote a new melody to it! It’s a really great song hope everyone can listen to it if you have the chance~
🐻: ahh this song does indeed give the listener positive and hopeful feelings! It’s like uplifting and sunny - I’ll definitely listen to it again in the future!
[2nd song: “Future” by Red Velvet]
OP said lyrics in the song “You are my sunshine, sunshine all the day” accurately describes their feelings towards Kun
🐻: ahh this song…have I heard it before? I’m not sure I’ll see when it plays haha but it is the OST for the drama Start Up!
🐻: if you were to start a business/some type of entrepreneurship, what would you do? For me, I think I’d create a producing/music agency to bring over all my favorite producers and write many many iconic, great songs. Perhaps possible in the future? :D
[3rd song: “Because I Don’t Know How to Love” by FT Island
OP said FT Island is the first group they liked and Lee Hongki was their intro into kpop. OP said with this song it’s wishing everyone meet the right person at the right time
🐻: ohh so they were their intro into kpop? Makes me think of mine…I’m sure everyone will find it interesting haha the first kpop artist I knew was…*drumroll* Kangta sunbaenim! I didn’t realize until I came to the company, but I heard his song way back in elementary school +
+ which was the Chinese version of “Mask” so at the time I thought he was a Chinese artist. Then I came to the company and saw the name “Kangta” and didn’t realize, but then found out his name translated in Chinese was the one I was familiar with and I was like “ohhhhh” +
+ *humming mask* ahhh I don’t remember the lyrics but I really really liked that song back then!
Now playing “Because I Don’t Know How to Love” by FTISLAND
~Indie Paradise w/ Chuyuan~
🐻: what was ur favorite class in school?
🏝: I liked music & art classes! …the teachers for these classes were usually really pretty :D (T/N: ??? CHUYUAN PLS LMAO)
🐻: ah….so it was for that reason 😂 u sure ur wife won’t listen to this program?
🏝: It’s okay haha that was the past 😆 anyway I’m hers now
🐻: so what group are we introducing today?
Today’s indie band is “Nine and the Numbers” and CY talked about how all the members have numbers as their stage names 9 (vocalist), 0 (guitarist), 3 (drummer), 4 (bassist)
[1st song: “Say”]
Chuyuan said this song is from their first album back in 2009 and one that’s fast paced and easy to sing along with
They were talking about lucky/favorite numbers and Kun said his favorite is “1” because his birthday is on 1/1 and even on the lunar calendar his birthday is 11/11
🐻: the number 1 also represents the mindset that you have to do your best (be the best #1) in whatever you do!
[2nd song: “Morning After”]
Chuyuan talked about how this song is based on Seonyudo Island which is a beautiful scenic place suitable to relax & refresh
[3rd song: “7:25 am”]
CY talked about how this song is from their “Many Minutes in Seoul” album (pt. 3) and both discussed what people might be doing at 7:25am (getting ready, going to work, selling breakfast, etc.) and CY talked about how 7:25 am here conveys the typical +
+ difficulties office-women in seoul will encounter in life which is in line with the album’s concept which is expressing different experiences from the lives of people in seoul
[4th song: “Romantic” by DAYBREAK]
This was a listener request and OP said because of the p*ndemic they haven’t been able to attend music festivals which they really liked doing and asked Kun if he’s been to any before. OP hopes everyone will cheer up listening to this song!
🐻: oooh looking forward to hearing this song. Our time is about up today - thank you chuyuan ge for being our guest! You worked hard~ see you next week!
🐻: our time is about up today~ Lastly, we’ll listen to Daybreak’s “Romantic”. See you next time~ bye bye!
~opening~
🐻: have you all experienced someone’s comment or look have you insecure & pondering for half the day? Like “did I not do well somewhere? Or do they have opinions?” But in reality maybe those weren’t intentional or targeted towards you at all. +
🐻: Don’t overthink in these situations and you’ll be happier! :)
~opening~
🐻: when asked what’s the most bustling places during the summer season, it’s gotta be the roadside food stalls! What’s your favorite summer street food/snack?
~opening~
🐻: in this fast-paced world, we often want efficiency and speed to reach our goal, but sometimes slowing down is the real speed. Only by slowing down do we have time to think and enjoy the scenery of the journey and appreciate the world around us
🎵: while we were introducing Astro’s song I had a thought - another benefit of becoming an adult is we can make better decisions on our own
🐻: yeah I think that’s the case for most people! Although a small group still do keep their childhood innocence/naivety~
~opening~
🐻: We often hear ppl say they don’t want to waste their free time, but also don’t know how to spend it meaningfully. Hobbies don’t spring up overnight & take time to cultivate, so u need to go step by step. That’s why taking the first step is so important!
