This thread from a man who claims @GregAbbott_TX sent a representative to offer money to pose w/the governor for #Uvalde has gone ultra-viral with the left. But I looked into who is really behind the account. Jason R. Nauertz, 43, is not from Texas. He's from Spokane, Wash.
Jason R. Nauertz has claimed on Twitter to be a 9/11 responder, a Purple Heart recipient, & to have had another nephew that was killed. No one with his name has received a Purple Heart.

He is an anti-Trump activist who has boasted about shooting at cars with Trump flags.
Many left-wing verified accounts have amplified the claims & made it go viral with no independent scrutiny. It conforms to their bias so that's good enough to be true. An editor at the Austin Chronicle (@YorkshireTX) was among them.
Multiple Pulitzer-winning LA Times columnist Patt Morrison helped amplify the claims.
.@cbs46 news anchor @shongables amplified the claim a #Uvalde family member was offered cash to pose with Gov. @GregAbbott_TX, as did @KeithOlbermann, who frequently falls for hoaxes. @USATODAY digital producer @BGisBrandonGray as well.
Left-wing activist Amy Siskind, who has shared many hoaxes, amplified the claim. @SassyMamainLA, an editor for Entertainment Weekly (@EW), called for the FBI to investigate Gov. Abbott.
Other journalists also jumped on the story.
Jason Nauertz, the Spokane man who claimed in an ultra-viral thread to be a family member of a deceased nephew in the #Uvalde shooting who @GregAbbott_TX tried to bribe, had also claimed to be black. His Facebook profile before it was deleted shows photos of a man who isn't black
Actress Rosanna Arquette thanks Jason Nauertz for his "courage."

The man behind the account (@mycancerjourne3) that claimed in a viral thread (retweeted over 32k times by the left) that Texas Gov. Abbott offered a bribe now claims he was hacked. He has locked or disabled his account & has deleted posts about the #Uvalde shooting.

Breaking: Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, has been identified as the gunman suspect who allegedly nearly assassinated Trump at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Routh's online presence shows an obsession with supporting Ukraine and posts about saving democracy. He ran a website recruiting fighters and volunteers internationally for Ukraine. He is or was living in Honolulu. ngolocals.comImage

Law enforcement sources speaking to CNN reveal that the Discord account belonging to the Winder, Ga. mass school shooting suspect allegedly had posts about plans for a mass shooting over grievances about the lack of trans acceptance.

Suspect Colt Gray was on the radar of the FBI over the alleged online threats last year. He is accused of killing four people at Apalachee High School on Sept. 4, 2024.

The American radical trans activist movement ("Trantifa") is filled with violent extremism, including popular messaging about killing people who don't accept trans ideology.

Extremely violent Portland Antifa member John Colin Hacker (b. Feb. 18, 1984) was detained at the March 2021 riot with riot gear.

In August 2024 he was arrested outside the Clackamas County courthouse for beating and bloodying a man to the ground after his comrade Alissa Azar was convicted of a felony. Hacker was charged with assault.

In August 2023, a Portland jury found him not liable for damages in my Rose City Antifa et al. lawsuit despite him admitting on the stand to attacking me at a gym and forcibly taking my phone. His attorney told the jurors, "I am Antifa" and that she would remember all their faces.Image

Portland far-left militant Amanda Siebe (b. Nov. 29, 1984) again took her dog to the violent Antifa riot in March 2021. Wearing a "F— Andy Ngo" sticker and riot gear, her unfortunate labrador was tethered to her while her comrades attacked the Pearl District.

Antifa member unmasked: @BikeSlutty is one of the Antifa members suggesting he will carry out violent criminal acts at the @DNC convention. He identifies as a "photo journalist."

He is Hart Ryan Noecker (b. March 7, 1980), of Chicago. Noecker was a notorious far-left extremist activist in Portland, Ore. but quietly relocated after being accused of serious s—x abuse. He was never charged over the accusations.

People alleged that as a male feminist, he earned the trust of female comrades whom he then allegedly abused. He was legitimized by the publication @BikePortland despite taking extreme positions. He was an organizer and leader of far-left direct actions.

After fleeing Portland, he went to Lansing, Mich. before moving most recently to Chicago. He adopted a new alias to escape his past. Under the alias, he continues to incite far-left extremism and political violence under the guise of being an "independent journalist."

Under a new identity and alias as @BikeSlutty, the far-left extremist urges violence while identifying as an "independent journalist."

Portland Antifa ringleader Alissa Azar was just exposed at her trial last week for being a fake journalist who used that identity as an excuse to engage in felony criminal violence with Antifa. She was convicted by the jury.
