The society we abuse today will take its revenge on our children tomorrow. No country survives by recklessness and extravagance. Unless the present dangerous trend of governmental failure is reversed, the Nigerian child remains disadvantaged.
I urge Nigerians to leverage the coming elections and elect a leader who has the people's interest at heart. At the same time, avoid the seduction of transactional politics and ensure that only credible persons with track records of success are elected into power.
As we celebrate our children today, I also urge that they remain on good behaviour, take their education more seriously and remain law-abiding and valuable to the society. Happy Children’s Day. #ChildrensDay2022

I thank all Nigerians, especially our youths who have joined me in the mission of taking back and reuniting Nigeria.
This project is yours and for the future of your children. I am just a facilitator.
Since I resigned from the PDP because of issues that are at variance with my persona and principles, I have consulted widely with various parties and personalities to ensure we do not complicate the route to our desired destination.
For me, the process of achieving our goal is as fundamental as what one will do thereafter.
I am highly disturbed by the increasing horrific killings in southeastern Nigeria, especially the recent beheading of a State legislator and the callous murder of a pregnant woman and her four children in Anambra State.
These violent and abhorrent killings are damnable and unacceptable! Our communities are crumbling before us, and our humanity is being diminished.
I send my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and urge all stakeholders, including affected communities, security agencies, traditional rulers and government at all levels, to work collectively to restore the peace that once reigned.
The terror attacks on Kaduna Airport and on Abuja-Kaduna bound train, with several persons reportedly abducted is depressing and disheartening and underscores the worsening level of insecurity across the country.
The terror attacks in Kaduna and different parts of the country, have become very worrisome and should serve as wake up call to the government to beef up the country's security and be more proactive in handling security issues.
The challenges of insecurity is too much of a burden on Nigerians already battling with hardship and poverty.
Sadly, the worsening level of insecurity only further aggravates the negative performance of Nigeria's economy.
For many years, corruption has remained the leitmotif of leadership failure in Nigeria.
Painfully, at a time Nigeria ought to have moved on with other countries, we are still fixated on power supply, functional healthcare delivery and other essential things that ought not to be bothering us today.
We are also saddled with a gross imbalance in national appointments as if others are mere spectators in Nigeria. Added to this is a lack of future for our children.
Dear @AbdulMahmud01, as Governor, I was not constitutionally empowered to arm SARS or any unit of the Nigeria Police Force or the Army. So, we never bought arms and ammunition for them because we were not legally empowered to do so.
We only supported them from time to time with operational vehicles and other logistics.
Therefore, I never armed SARS throughout my eight years as Anambra Gov. I only worked with the security agencies, which are all Federal establishments.
I was never involved in posting of security agents to Anambra State throughout my stay in office. I worked with the ones that were posted through the Commissioner of Police or heads of other agencies.
Fixing Nigeria’s infrastructure must be private-sector led. All the government must do is provide the support and what we can call a guarantee for the private sector to be able to build infrastructure. #AtikuMeetsBusinessCommunity
It took the present government 3 years to come out with the Economic Recovey and Growth Plan (ERGP) document and they are yet to meet 30% of it. Before going in, we already have a plan. #AtikuMeetsBusinessCommunity
I assure you, in turning around the economy, construction will be critical. However, it won’t be done as it is being done today where the country is being put in debt. #AtikuMeetsBusinessCommunity
