1] The #keyboard warriors saga & it's 10 tragedies

Firstly, it would be tragically naive for any politician, let alone aspiring leader, to deliberately ridicule & downplay the importance of the diaspora community.

It's a key constituency, though most won't travel back to vote.
2] Secondly, though solidarity is key, it would be tragic if more citizens, choose to identify with the label, for whatever reason, and take those isolated exchanges which saw the labeling, as an insult targeting every other social media user.

This fire doesn't need fueling.
3] Thirdly, it would be tragic is all observers choose to ignore the hidden hand of ghosts/varakashi, in many exchanges with the 'leaders', resulting in them pushing back

Sadly & tragically, sometimes the 'push back' hits the wrong target, or more appropriately, a fellow soldier
4] Fourthly, it would be tragic roundly condemning so called "ghosts" who are "not on the ground".

Some have genuine reasons to use the so called ghost accounts, whilst positively contributing to the cause.

Social media is a "ground", & the good ghosts here, are on the ground.
5] Fifthly, it would be tragic, for 'leaders' in the alternative, to fail to resist temptation of using diction & labels made famous by ZanuPF, during hitted exchanges with compatriots.

It's worse if the differences are to do with justifying something involving ZanuPF (people).
6] Sixthly, it would be tragic, interpreting the infamous soccer event, as a deliberate betrayal of victims of ZanuPF political violence by CCC youth leaders

Hindsight is a beautiful thing
It makes us all look like geniuses

But at the very least, lets agree that they meant well
7] 'Seventhly', would be tragic, ignoring that we are all mortal, emotional beings, susceptible to human weaknesses

However, though that's true, it would be tragic for those aspiring to lead, to fail to realize that for them, the bar is higher.

Thats the 'burden of leadership'
8] Eighthly, it would be tragic to have 'leaders' who think 'leadership' is a jacket which they can temporarily remove when they feel like it

Would be tragic to have leaders who think their personal social media accounts are actually personal

Again, that's the leadership burden
9] 'Ninethly', it would be tragic, failing to realize that it's way better to just seek finding common ground (apologizing), opposed to fixation at rationalizing your actions, when tempers begin to flare.

Once again, leadership burden!

Bridges are more desirable than walls.
10] Tenthly, growing up, I would rather beat up my brothers, myself, rather than seeing them being beaten up by others.

It would be tragic to allow your ego to leave you enjoying a quarrel disintegrating into a family fight, where jealousy neighbors become cheerleaders.

enkosi!

1] @CCCZimbabwe continue to do unorthodox politics.

Many would recall that the citizens movement has since done away with 'VIP tents' practice, a seemingly harmless old system, which sadly carries with it, far-reaching yet strong hidden meanings. Image
2] Though not admittedly unique to us as a nation, the divide between the elected (bosses) and the electors (povho) has continously been allowed to widen.

Usually citing security concern (at times conviniently), the elected seldom use services used by those who elected them.
3] Most times, the irony of it is that the poor state of some of the services, are a direct consequence of their (the elected) inability to govern.

Frustratingly, some amongst the affected, are at the forefront of rationalizing these nonsensical practices/behaviors.

1/ Eish...this is total hogwash

So #1, we are all supposed to believe that a case involving a noisy dog at a club resulted in Mr P Jamba dragging its owner who is 'accidentally' his former lover, whom Mr Jamba also accused of 'dumping him', after 'wasting so much money on her'? ImageImage
2/ And #2..

We are supposed to believe that this Mr P Jamba, who was so angry that, throwing all sorts of accusations & eventually dragging Miss Moreblessing Ali into the night (for 6 days now), actually only 'accidentally' hit her friend Kirina Mayironi while aiming at a dog?
3/ And #3...

We are supposed to believe that Karina Mayironi, who as per the statement,, ran for her dear life into the club after being missed by the catapult, only simply 'left for her home', whilst her friend was being dragged nowhere into the night by the angry Mr P Jumba? ImageImage

1] @nelsonchamisa:

"Thank you Kwekwe Central & Mbizo constituencies for voting for us. We don't take your trust & your vote for granted. However the game is still on. The real game is coming in 2023 & I'm ready to finish it off. Everyone should be registered to vote come 2023." Image
2] @nelsonchamisa:

"Your overwhelming by-election vote is a humdinger of things to come. When a woman starts spitting, it's a sign the pregnancy is now there. Start buying preparations, a baby called 'New Great Zimbabwe' is coming. It can't be undone. The pregnancy is there" Image
3] @nelsonchamisa:

"However, when a pregant woman starts making preparations for the baby's arrival, witches also start preparing its death. Violence has become a perennial problem in this province (Midlands), particularly in Kwekwe where the demon of violence is headquartered" Image

1] My brother @AmChambi, I cannot imagine that there is anyone capable of properly applying their mind to any discourse, who would be 'anti-reforms'

Furthermore, there's no need to choose between 'mass registration' & 'electoral reforms'

Ideally, why choose when both are needed
2] Secondly, there is no such a thing as "mass registration", as an antidote to "election rigging".

What is actually needed is "massive voting to overwhelm the rigging".

That needs to be phrased properly, least WE needlessly wast valuable time, fighting imaginary opponents.
3] That being established, allow me to express a sentiment I would've rather kept to myself, if your tweet was tweeted by someone else.

Because you and I have always agreed or disagreed respectfully, I'll take advantage of your tweet to address something I've found regrettable.

1] Thank you brother @BantuPower for this submission.

I hope noone insults you for your choice, yet in the spirit of engagement and normalizing having conversations regarding our politics, I felt compelled to do a quick response as a mere supporter of CCC & Advocate Chamisa.
2] Firstly brother @BantuPower, I felt disappointed by your inability to explain further on what it is, that would make a leader be able to "unite Zimbabweans".

Accusing Adv Chamisa of not having something you didn't bother explain, only but made your submission confusing.
3] Secondly, any narrative that characterizes Adv Chamisa as some instigator of the "chaotic" Tsvangirai succession is misleading.

He neither appointed himself as a VP (outside a MDC Congress), nor made himself MDC Acting or Substantive leader.

Those were collective decisions.

1] @OurMDCT National Spokesperson Morgen Nkomichi:

"There's nothing new anymore, the people have sent a message to us that they prefer @nelsonchamisa as the Opposition Leader. There is no doubt about that."

citytimes.co.zw/2022/05/09/mor…
2] Nkomichi:

"If we (MDC-T/MDC-A) are to be in the competition ourselves, then we have to change the approach and strategy. We've learnt a lot of things (from the by-elections). We need to deal with our brand, our strategy, tactics, mobilization and recruitment."
3] Nkomichi:

"Opposition political parties must never be enemies. An 'enemy' is a very strong word to be used by any human being. As Opposition parties, we are all working toward one goal. We only differ on that others are MDC, others CCC, and so on."
