Gen Bulbul Brar who was Commanding his Division and was to leave for Manila, on his Honeymoon was called to the Ops Room at Chandimandir

Entire 9 DIV was ordered to moved Amritsar

IT WAS NO EASY TASK
The Security Forces had to do what they did, to protect people in Punjab, and safeguard the Union of India.

Rem The Khalistan movement was born out of US-PAK plan to teach India a lesson for 1971

38 Years since Operation Blue Star.
Khalistan movement is dead.
Punjab returned to normalcy.

In June 1984, Golden Temple was desecrated by terrorists, who turned it into a Terror HQ.

Religion was trampled by the paid terrorists of Gen Zia.

IT WAS NOT A MOMENT OF PRIDE-
The Indian STATE and SOLDIER had a task to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the Union of India.

The entire open area outside Akal Takht became a 'Kill Zone' for our troops.

Operation Blue Star:

Not To Glorify, But To Remind Ourselves of a Tragedy that befell the nation.

The gravest hour for the Indian Army
Those who were there, and led their troops.

P.s. Some went in without their boots, kneecaps blasted, maimed for life

Operation Blue Star:

When Gen Kuldip Singh 'Bulbul' Brar, a 1971 War Hero of 1 MARATHA LI (Jangi Paltan) was ordered to report to ChandiMandir, on eve of a holiday, he didn't know his life was to change- FOREVER.

In 24 Hours, his entire Division was ordered to move to Amritsar

Among Units under Gen Brar's Command:

10 GUARDS was the vanguard, led by Israr Rahim Khan.

The Army went into Durbar Sahib to Save Humanity, Ensure Sanctity of India, and defend the Sovereignty of the Union.

•Pill boxes with LMG nests were hidden in bunkers at ankle level

•Parikrama between Darshini Deori & Akal Takht was a Killing Zone

It would be a travesty to not say a silent prayer, for they who went into Durbar Sahib, in Defence of India, to Protect the people, and Evict Terrorists.

Operation Blue Star:

•Was not against the Sikhs.
•Was not against the Sikh religion.
•Was not against the Golden Temple.
