This was really hard for me because I find it very difficult to trust people.
However, I am disorganized, chaotic, and I move very quickly.
Those traits do not make for a good Operator-CEO.
So I knew that, to get sustainable results, I needed someone to hold ME accountable while adding structure, routine, and discipline to my company - aka an Operations Manager.
Second is systems.
Literally everything we do at Impact School has a checklist and a “standard” to hit.
For example, when Noor or I speak at an event we often get a big influx of new client enquiries…
This used to be absolute chaos and I’d find myself handling these leads myself for weeks because they always said they wanted to “connect” with me.
Now, we have an 8 step system my team uses to close new clients without needing sales calls - I’ll put a video about this on my YouTube channel tomorrow.
Then, once we get a new client, we mix a series of tech automation and 1:1 human input to ensure ever single new Impact School client has a “wow” experience immediately AND…
✅ Our new client gets everything they need to book their first 1:1 call within 24-48 hours and get started smoothly
✅ Our internal client management system is updated with all their business & payment information
And then their journey from there is smooth sailing thanks to the robust internal infrastructure our team uses to repeatedly get client results.
Everything is followed to a T and we do not deviate. That’s how we get such consistent results.
Now, the third thing may seem a little weird…
it was arguably the hardest part for me…

I hired the one to hire the ten.
I had systems.
Now I needed to let my Head of Operations do her thing and stop butting my nose in.
As the founder and owner, it feels weird.
Let systems run the business & let people run those systems 🔑
^ that’s my business motto.
only when I let my team work their magic did I finally have the headspace to think of creative new ways to grow and content that would attract my dream clients.
I was finally able to do the things I was uniquely best at which would support my company into the long term.
As Founders, we need to take responsibility over the long term growth of the company while ensuring our team have what they need to take care of the day to day

A few years back...
