NEW SCAM running on @opensea‼️Today I looked at my wallet and found a new #NFT called Skills of Arcade with a 1.06 #WETH offer on it. I was very suspicious so asked one of my alpha groups if they ever heard of a scam like this. 🧵/1
Come to find out this is a new exploit where hackers have figured out a way to send WETH offers and upon acceptance it grants access to control all #NFTs in your wallet. The contract you're interacting with is a fraudulent contract, not #OpenSea. /2
@opensea has recently made their code available to the public. Good for innovation, even better for bad actors to find exploits. Scams like this could literally turn the #NFT space on it's head. I was told this doesn't affect VERIFIED collections with legit code. /3
If you see any WETH offers on unverified airdrops, PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT THEM!!! I really hope Opensea figures out a way to stop this scam. This is one of the most elaborate scams we have ever seen. I can only imagine the number of people getting their #NFTs drained today 😥
