This opening is laying out things partners Gondo and Rayam told the feds - about each other. Rayam shot three people in a span of 20 months, and Gondo said an eventual deputy commissioner coached him on what to say after one of them. Rayam denies it was unjustified #WeOwnThisCity
And Rayam told the feds that Gondo, who was shot in 2005 outside his home, was shot over drug trafficking, which Gondo denies. A man was charged and acquitted of that shooting #WeOwnThisCity

New: Baltimore Police have terminated their chief of fiscal services after "derogatory information was discovered that would have prevented him from being eligible for hire in the first place." He had been on the job 9 days.
A person with the same name appears on the city's "Gun Offender Registry," though there is also such no corresponding conviction currently showing in Maryland Judiciary Case Search...

Bolden says government “spent hundreds of thousands of dollars investigating tax charges” against a public official who doesn’t make millions of dollars a year. “Who doggedly pursues someone like that? It could only be rooted in animus.”

More explosive details about Baltimore Police corruption as former Sgt Keith Gladstone took the stand in latest federal trial in Gun Trace Task Force fallout and detailed his history of two decades of crimes - including his role in 2010 heroin planting case involving Sean Suiter:
Gladstone joined department in 1992 and says his misconduct began in ‘90s when officers couldn’t get money to pay informants and began giving them a cut of seized funds, typically $30-$50, he said. /2
Gladstone says he started stealing money for himself in 2003, typically asking people how money they had and taking some of the amount they claimed was less than was actually found. /3
