….As a female constituent who had recently campaigned for Cook to stand as a labour MP and wanted to hear from all sides on what was a new and not well understood issue I was surprised to be immediately blocked on Twitter .

Cook then went on a women only course designed to increase woman’s confidence and participation in politics. There were several women within the CLP who could have benefited from it.

Cook then stood as a candidate on an ‘all women’ shortlist for the same seat. I felt that was inappropriate since the short list was there to promote female participation. At that point I was still a member of labour.

Cook was found to have twice failed to declare a pre transition bankruptcy to the clp. The clp concluded that this was against the rules. All Candidates have to declare any bankruptcy that might prevent them from lawfully standing and could be a political liability.

All the female candidates had followed the rules. The clp rejected cook as a candidate.

Cook cried ‘transphobia’ because ‘it required them to admit their trans status’. Despite their openly speaking about being trans on radio, TV and campaigning as a trans woman.

The NEC were terrified of ‘transphobia’ and insisted Cook was reinstated. The shortlisted women who had all followed the rules resigned in protest. The NEC refused to back down. The CLP then put up a number other women against cook.

After I voted I left the party.

At the election by members of the CLP Cook didn’t win, and walked out of the count without congratulating the woman elected.

This is the person you think should promote ‘equality’.

Not to mention that Cook has spoken out against laws which protect people against crimes of sex by deception. Such as same sex attracted women who don’t want to sleep with someone who is male.

Sophie has referred to women as ‘terfs’ and blocked us for speaking out openly.
