Op-ed slander. Amber Heard is a liar per the court.

She destroyed his career with the op-ed on purpose per the court
Depp proved all statements were defamatory, they were about him directly, they were false statements. She acted with malice.

Against Amber $10M
Punitive $5M

Heard's counter claim:
Waldman made false statements and with malice

Against Depp: $2M
Punitive: $0
So Johnny is being punished only for what his lawyer said to the Daily Mail

#JusticeForJohhnyDepp
Judge changed the $5M punitive damages to $350K which is all Johnny was seeking

John Durham is a sham. He has only charged 3 people since 2019, this is the first to get to court, and it's an acquittal!!

The two that are left, one has pleaded guilty the other is waiting to get to trial.
the pace of Durham’s investigation, which began under Trump and has already lasted far longer than Mueller’s 22-month probe, has been widely questioned – including by Trump.
Igor Danchenko, a Russian national who was an associate of former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, was charged with five counts of making false statements to investigators about sources of information he provided to Steele.

Danchenko's trial is scheduled Oct. 11

SumOfUs researchers also reported experiencing homophobic and racial slurs in Horizon World and said they witnessed gun violence on the platform.

Did you really think Zuck would keep you safe in a fake world, when he can't keep you safe in the real one?
At Meta's shareholder meeting, a proposal was introduced to complete a third-party assessment of "potential psychological and civil and human rights harms to users that may be caused by the use and abuse of the platform" and "whether harms can be mitigated or avoided,
or are unavoidable risks inherent in the technology."

However, the proposal was voted down.
So Meta's shareholders are not interested in keeping people safe in the Metaverse. Ok, thanks for letting the world know.

In 1994, Clinton signed into law the ban on assault weapons and large-capacity mags (LCM). The law — which grandfathered in an estimated 1.5M assault weapons and 25M LCMs already owned by Americans — was in place for 10 years until @GOP let it lapse.

washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/…
During the ban — 1995 to 2004 — there were about 19 incidents per year

Two key provisions can be especially effective. “State laws requiring a permit to purchase a firearm, which includes a background check on all purchases, are associated with 60% lower odds of a mass public
shooting occurring,”

“Bans on large-capacity magazines are associated with 38 percent fewer fatalities and 77 percent fewer nonfatal injuries when a mass shooting occurred.”

Within the next few weeks, a majority of state legislatures will conclude their 2022 sessions. Here’s a recap of just a few of the new, concerning voting and election laws:

@DemocracyDocket
In Arizona: House Bill 2492 requires all Arizonans to provide proof of citizenship to register to vote, endangering the voter registrations of a large number of individuals. Arizona also banned same-day voter registration, even though the state does not have it.
In Florida: Senate Bill 524 creates a special force to investigate elections, bans ranked choice voting, increases the penalties for returning more than two mail-in ballots, prohibits the use of private donations and more.

While it is common for details to shift following mass attacks, some of the changes in Uvalde made during news briefings and interviews have been striking.
Did anyone try to stop the gunman from entering the school?

Auth had initially said the attacker exch gunfire with a school police officer before entering the school

During a briefing Wednesday, said a school police officer “engaged” the shooter but that no shots were exchanged
Thurs:

“It was reported that a school district police officer confronted the suspect that was making entry,” Escalon said of the information his agency had released. “Not accurate. He walked in unobstructed.”

"It is tempting to imagine that all of the challenges we have experienced lately are the product of one man’s dangerous contempt for anything but his own self-interests.

The canary in the coal mine involved the death of four Americans, and the manipulation of that
terrible tragedy in an unprecedented abuse of legislative power that came to be known simply as “Benghazi.”

"When an administration skews its intelligence to serve a desired policy—instead of using sound intelligence to inform policy—we get disasters like the Iraq War."
