OK Public Schools used to have Artist in Residency programs. Artists from all over the state exposed us to ceramics, visual arts, vocal music, instrumental music, literature, poetry, dance & theater. I remember it was thought too expensive, so it got cut. 1/2
Another factor was when a parent objected to one artist who invited students to be mindful, breathe & visualize the story being read. The parent thought this was some sort of witchcraft "hypnotizing" kids.
The visiting artist program was pulled. 2/2
The same year K & 1st grade field trips were cut. And before you blame the public schls for the cuts, remember it is the decision makers who sit in state govt who make the decisions to appropriate or to cut funds.

Axios has great tips for maneuvering tomorrow night:
Vote and then chill until late Tuesday night. There'll be dumb rumors, wild speculation and armchair projections, all of it meaningless. (1)

AXIOS Tips:
There's no chance you have even a clue who wins until Florida, Georgia & North Carolina are counted and reported.
More likely, you will need to wait for clear-cut results in Pennsylvania, where it will take days to count all mail-in votes. (2)

AXIOS Tips:
Don't expect a quick, clear winner: We can't stress enough the chance of it taking days to fully count mail-in & absentee votes, to determine the real outcome in places like PA & WI. (3)
