It is the sacred duty of the Islamic scholars and those in a position of authority to verify the Islamic credentials, ideology, and piety of every speaker that they give a platform to, no matter how insignificant. “Examine who you take your religion from.”
The spiritual harms of giving a platform to just one deviant, unqualified, ignorant, non-practicing speaker to the Muslim community are absolutely unimaginable if only we knew!!! The trend in North America is to pick speakers based on popularity over real qualifications

I am extremely concerned that many Islamic Scholars, Darul Ulooms, and institutes in America, South Africa,etc. have given a platform and have publicly endorsed Daniel Haqiqatjou when clearly promotes Salafi Aqeedah and has affiliations with radical Salafis.

An individual who is not a qualified Islamic scholar has made the claim that ‘unlimited kindness to women destroyed every traditional religion and culture…& their next target is Islam!!!!’ What is the proof for this from the authentic Islamic sources? A very dangerous statement
Many extreme Muslim supporters of extreme masculinity borderline misogyny have been making similar statements on limits to kindness and not being a pushover. Some have asked me for clarification on gender roles. We need to go back to the authentic interpretation of the Sunnah

Some updates regarding the halal situation in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom has started importing meat from America again and many restaurants are using meat from multiple countries.
1 uses meat from 5 countries; chicken from Malaysia, beef from Australia, Canada, Jordan, and Brazil ImageImageImage
Another uses meat from the UAE, Saudi, Australia, Canada, America, and New Zealand. The challenge for the customer concerned about halal is verifying if the meat from multiple countries is reliable. There is also questionable beef from America certified by HTO
There are restaurants that use 100% local meat, but most fast food places are using imported meat and Brazilian imports are still common. I was in Brazil in August &learned first-hand of major concerns in the halal system. There is a lot of work to be done to verify meat in Saudi

Over 40 years ago, Shaikh Bin Baz رحمه الله sent a letter to his special student who had studied under him for four years and was living in Brazil, Shaikh Ahmad Mahayiri, asking him to investigate the halal situation. Shaikh Mahayiri wrote a letter replying back with details ImageImageImageImage
The scholarly body of the Hayat Kibar Ulama of Saudi Arabia led by Shaikh Bin Baz then passed a fatwa on the impermissibility of the meat imported to Saudi Arabia from Brazil based on this letter from Brazil and published it in their fatwa book.

I have greatly benefited from reading the English translation of the biography of Shaikh Mahmud Effendi of Turkey who recently passed away - may Allah have mercy on him- and I highly recommend reading this book to all. I will be sharing a few quotes from this book next
