While my four months stay at Raipur I came across so many families who are still tightly bonded together irrespective of Financial differences. Infact whenever I had been invited for lunch or dinner at someone's house they even told their relatives

About us. Then those relatives also came to meet me and my husband. Visiting at female friend's place of mine I remember how much her mother in law welcomed us sweetly. Technically we had been invited to around 8 to 10 families for some reason or the other but the gesture was

Ultimate. The way they made best effort to make us feel comfortable is beyond words. I still remember visiting to a very remote village which was our friend's Bua's home. And what I saw that entire family gathered from Raipur , Durg and other cities of Chhatisgarh to that small

Village just for a small puja. And relatives were not just first cousins but second third and far away relations. This has been my observation in many families their. Unlike serving Shahi paneer and malai kofta their inclination towards local food served to guest is superb.

At first I was bored in this city but this city made me fall into love with it. Had been to many capital cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Mumbai, Lucknow, Ranchi, Patna and Chandigarh but seeing this amazing bonding was something I missed since years.

The street food of Raipur was another special thing that I enjoyed. Instead of serving Momos, Noodle and other junks they are mostly serving local snacks half of the names of which I never heard of. Saw many families where kids opted to stay with parents instead of running away.

I know half of you will again be offended because of my praise for a particular city. But Raipur has been underrated alot. And to be honest it is one of the most adorable and cute city. You will have first wrong impression of it but once you settle you won't ever leave it.
