Thread of Depp admitting/not denying violence against Heard. Wanted to have something to combat the constant rehashing of Amber saying she hit him since he's done the same & ppl act like he hasn't.

First up, Depp admits to headbutting Heard. Notably he doesn't call it a head bump nor an accident in this conversation between the two of them.

In fact he initially denied that he had ever headbutted her. Once he was confronted with the audio in the UK trial, he changed his story, saying that it happened but was an accident. By the US trial he said it wasn't even headbutt but rather a head "bump".

In this convo between the two of them Heard says Depp "beat the shit out of me" and he doesn't deny it at all, instead quibbling over whether he said "goodbye". Heard says she'll go to the texts, and he says he made a mistake (apparently about saying bye).

This is from a full 4 hr audio, but for the portion I'm referencing here you only need to listen for about 1 minute 20 seconds. Heard references the Boston incident where he allegedly kicked her on the plane. Depp doesn't deny this at all.

Instead Depp says: Wait. Wait. The plane when I kicked you. Can't just reference it like with the plane that I kicked you.
(Heard responds)
Depp: It's on the tape recorder. If you're gonna say that I kicked you, you'll say everything else you did.
She says she didn't do anything.

I find this exchange very odd for someone who claims this never even happened. Notice how controlling and forceful he sounds, her meek 'sorry', as well as the 'you will do this' wording of it. On top of that not at all denying that it happened.

(Bonus about this plane ride - Depp's assistant confirms he kicked her via texts to Heard "When I told him he kicked you, he cried". When leaked he states they're "doctored", but when proven they aren't he changes his story another couple times.)

In this audio Heard tells Depp to "go put your fucking cigarettes out on someone else" he doesn't deny it, just tells her to "shut up fat ass" and she responds "yeah, you got me there"

Here Depp refers to physical violence and emphasizes "on each other" again conflicting with his narrative that he was never violent towards her.

In an argument about Depp's daughter apparently overhearing a different argument, Heard says that her family has had to see her with various injuries, which she lists (bruises, split lip, etc). Again, Depp makes no attempt to deny any of this.

This next one serves multiple purposes. He refers to his finger getting cut off but doesn't say it was her, and he doesn't deny the violence she references, despite this being after the TRO, and him secretly recording her over the phone - a perfect time to get that stuff on tape.

It's also context for the oft repeated 'no one will believe you' statement, where she clearly says both before and after that statement that she feared for her life (she's explaining why she called the cops).

From a longer vid, I'm referring to about a minute of audio. Heard is crying and mentions him hitting her, "throw a swing when you can and when better than when I'm on the floor because that's when it's really good to hit someone". No denial from Depp.

This one is a text to a friend (Paul Bettany) instead of audio. It says various things, but of note is this piece: "You may have to drink for me... I, of course, pounded and displayed ugly colors to Amber on recent journey..."

This one is inconclusive imo, but I'm including it because I do hear it and for completeness. Rottenborn says that Heard says "get off me" Depp says he doesn't hear it. It is hard to hear tbh so fair enough.

I don't recommend it, but if you want to hear the longer version they played in court, it goes for about 7 minutes here at the end of the 7th day of the trial.

This is not physical violence, but it's pretty disturbing to consider. Depp says in text to his medical staff that he was the client and had asked them to keep Heard "calm" and "under control."
