It will take action & resistance on ALL fronts. In reality the power of MPs on this matter is limited - we saw that with passage of Nationality & Borders Bill - if all we’re doing is writing to our MP’s we will not win. (4/20)

WHAT ARE THE WEAK LINKS IN THIS CHAIN? This people trafficking deal has two sides. Anything with two sides has vulnerabilities. Rwanda has hired a UK PR firm (Chelgate) to deal with media on this deal. Shows they are anxious about their image (5/20)

Rwanda is spinning the deal as a humanitarian plan. We need to relentlessly pressure & target the Rwanda side of this deal. @RwandaGov @RwandaParliamnt @visitrwanda_now - Expose it for the crime against humanity it is & highlight Rwandan govt complicity. Be there on weds (6/20)

We need to find all the connections between Rwanda & UK. For some time they have been main sponsor’s of @Arsenal - sports-washing their human rights abuses. We need Arsenal & all football fans to demand Arsenal pull out of this sponsorship mirror.co.uk/sport/football… (7/20)

The Govt will seek to hire private charter companies to carry out this Rwanda deportation - we need to target all of those companies, demand that they refuse to accept the govts money to carry out this certainly immoral, likely unlawful mass deportation. (10/20)

These flights cannot happen if workers refuse. pilots, airline staff, escorts & security can all refuse to take part - are you a member of a trade union? We need all trade unions doing more than condemning this deal - they need to support their workers to REFUSE (12/20)

DIRECT ACTION OUTSIDE - this is where we need expertise/experience of climate activists- if ever a time to block the road it would be to stop coaches taking people to this inhuman Rwanda flight. What else could be done to disrupt those complicit in this deal? (15/20)

DIRECT ACTION INSIDE - detainees already have this covered, they are fighting for their lives every way they can, we must support that & elevate their voices - get the truth out. History has shown this organisation & action in detention is decisive. (15/20)

You’ll notice no suggestions 4 big demo at downing st/parliament. really not most effective use of resources & can give false sense of ‘doing something’ but achieving little especially if all the focus on parliament & the courts & not on kind of movement really needed. (16/20)

Whatever the idea; think “what will this achieve? how does it bring us closer to victory? - does this build a movement that is acting, leading and fighting on its own terms, independently, or does it give the false impression that the power lies in parliament & w/MP’s?” (17/20)

We cannot rely on the law, we cannot rely on the politicians, we cannot rely on the charities - we can & will work on all those fronts but mass action, a movement is critical - that movement determines the outcome of this fight. (19/20)
