Like the history of slavery in US, India has had a sad history of caste discrimination. Outlawed by Indian government since Independence from the British.
Certain unscrupulous groups have started exploiting this sad history to weaponize “caste”to make easy money. They teach topics like “caste oppression” in unsuspecting tech companies to bully, harass & intimidate Indian engineers in upper rungs of management.
My recommendation to my portfolio companies is to shun offers by a shadowy group called #EqualityLabs to “give a talk” on “caste oppression”. The founder goes around tech companies giving talks on “caste sensitivity” claiming that some employees are “caste oppressed”.
If she finds unsuspecting people who fall for it, or are willing to dig more, she hosts “caste parties” complete with coaching on how to use the American legal system to issue threats of legal action & demands for money.
EqualityLabs is a hate group. The founder goes around ranting about indian Brahmins & how their “success” has to do w centuries of oppression of other castes. How is this hate spewing monster even allowed on campuses ?
