one really delightful improvement over the original is that in P&P we too are kind of meant to find the other Bennetts cringe and be happy for Jane and Lizzie that they get out

but here, Will and Charlie’s posh social group isn’t aspirational; you want THEM to join the chaos fam

like the rowdy lower-class BIPOC queer family is the aspirational group here because their relationships are founded on love and not status, and they teach both Will and Charlie to loosen up and be more authentic and free
