Keep this shit going. Few things have been as illuminating -- or as entertaining -- as this complete implosion by the WashPost and its staff. Felicia is on day 6 and it's incumbent on her colleagues to keep up with her. Many are trying, but more is needed.
After the memo yesterday from the Post's top editor warning staff not to publicly denounce one another, this first-year Post reporter promptly ignored that and publicly condemned the Post while defending Felicia. This Allyship is what we need more of:

This same first-year Post reporter also scrolled through all 4,000 people who "liked" the tweet of Post reporter Lisa Rein, asking Felicia to "please stop," and announced his tally. He kept track of the gender of all Post reporters guilty of this offense. Big future ahead of him! Image

He was angry about the Court's leaked ruling in Roe and the lack of gun control, and reportedly sought to kill Justice Kavanaugh in response.

It's vital that we know which cable hosts he likes and which magazines he reads so we know who radicalized him and is to blame for this:
We don't yet know if this would-be Kavanaugh murderer watches Joy Reid's show -- chances are very high he didn't since virtually nobody does -- but she regularly calls the Justice a Christian nationalist who favors theocracy. Did this inspire violence?

The steadfast lack of interest in discussing who and what likely radicalized someone to try to murder a Supreme Court Justice in the name of Democratic Party dogma on Roe and gun control is extremely. . . . conspicuous, and unsurprising.

Utterly bizarre how comfortable the US and British media class is when spewing contempt at some golfers for playing on a Saudi-financed tour, when it's the US and UK Governments that prop up the despotic Saudi regime with weapons, intelligence and diplomatic protection.
The indispensable support given by US and UK to the Saudis by itself negates most of their propaganda about how they fight against tyranny.

This is just weird and creepy. Why are they all posting identical language about how proud they are to work at the Washington Post, like from a script handed down by a cult leader? ImageImageImageImage
They're still doing this. More and more: all saying exactly the same thing with the exact same words, publicly professing their love for the Washington Post in identical language. This is not healthy behavior. Why are they doing this? ImageImageImageImage
I suppose this is how these WashPost reporters have decided to condemn @feliciasonmez for her 5 days of maniacal attacks on her colleagues and attempt to get several fired, but it's bizarre how they all use the same coordinated cryptic language and waited this long. Cowardly.

The video below viralized because it's 100% the unleashed id of HR-worshiping liberal employees of big corporations, especially media corporations. They are sociopaths. The only fulfillment and purpose they get is from destroying others, including/especially fellow employees.
This is the critical point. It's not just that media unions "permit" punishment of workers when they are guilty of cultural transgressions. It's the unions that *demand* the punishment. Unions beg for a more empowered HR and corporate punishment regime.

I should say: it's union *members* who do this. All across newsrooms, it's the unions which are demanding that HR and corporate bosses punish workers for a wider range of transgressions. The demands to punish @daveweigel & @jdelreal are coming from union members, not management.

Taylor Lorenz just got caught repeatedly lying in her article such that WP had to revise it 3 times as an "Editor's Note," and it still contains a lie: nothing happened.

Dave Weigel immediately apologized for RT'ing a joke and is suspended without pay:

The reason this matters is because the people at these media corporations who constantly reveal themselves to be deranged sociopathic freaks and neurotics -- as is happening now at the WPost -- are the ones demanding the right to declare Truth and Falsity and censor in its name.

So typical: WP reporter @feliciasonmez is now on her 3rd straight day of publicly bashing her own colleagues. She pressured the Post to publicly malign @daveweigel as "reprehensible", forced him to repeatedly apologize, now is attacking another WP reporter for politely objecting.
Post reporters are some of the planet's most privileged people. But since victimhood is cultural Gold in their twisted world, and they never face real persecution, they have to elevate mean tweets to a national scandal so they can always demand that your pity be lavished on them.
A gigantic amount of the time and energy of privileged employees at the largest and most powerful media corporations is devoted to concocting melodramatic, self-absorbed narratives where they cast themselves as marginalized victim, while real journalists confront real persecution
