As every high potential field & job, trading is no different, it takes time and a lot of effort to succeed and achieve elite performance

I want to introduce a 1 year ROADMAP that could help NEW TRADERS in their quest to master the market

💟&🔁
1⃣ Read HTMMIS (Month 1)

- O'Neil book is the bible of investing imo, you need to begin here to build your foundation
- It covers technical & fundamental analysis

5⃣ Start trading real $ - super small (Month 5)

- Start with a small amount you're ready to lose
- Take very small positions of less than 5% of equity each
- Don't go pass 20% of total equity exposure
- Focus on EXECUTION - don't expect to make $$
6⃣ Listen to successful traders interviews (1 per week)

@RichardMoglen YTB channel is THE reference. Take advice from top traders on Routine, Psychology, discipline, etc.

Top 5 imo:
- @1charts6
- @Upticken

7⃣ Journal each trade & analyze & adjust (Month 6-9)

- Each W & L must be journaled
- Is the system respected?
- Reason to enter, sell, etc
- Analyze your L's & adjust plan
- Note the mistakes you make
- Still focus on EXECUTION, don't expect to make $
8⃣ Re-read HTMMIS & Minervini (Month 10)

- With few months experience, new things will click during the read
- Adjust Plan/System accordingly
9⃣ Begin to increase your position sizes if conditions are right (Month 11)

- Trading with positions of 10% max
- Up to 50% of equity

🔟 Read Mental Game of Trading (Month 11)

Here's a thread on how to SELL INTO STRENGTH & use TREND FOLLOWING as a swing & position trader. 📈

Thread 🧵
I am a firm believer that “Price Targets” are total BS and people that throw numbers around are even more clueless.

You could be amazed at how far they can run a stock up…but you could also be amazed how strong they can crash a stock even if it’s an A+ company.
For that reason, I want to let the stock “trend” until in doesn’t, and then I want to cut it on weakness. Innocent until proven guilty :)

To help me achieve that, I use a moving average system to help me determine when I’m gonna close the position.

Here's a thread on how to build a DAILY ROUTINE to create your daily FocusList. 📝

Having the discipline to, each night, prepare for the next day is what separates the pros traders from the rest.

Thread 🧵
First thing is to have a setup playbook.

You have to know that these technical setups have an edge in the market and that over time they will have a positive expectancy.

Mine for reference:

There is many technical setups that have an edge in the market.

The important is that you have to find what is working for YOU and you build this playbook that you’ll use and focus on.

Here's a thread on how to use Progressive Exposure in your trading 🪜

Progressive Exposure (PE) is the a method to progressively commit capital, as you make progress on your open positions, in order to limit your risk of capital loss and smooth your Equity Curve (EC)

Thread 🧵
You want to use those open profits to finance the risk of the next position.

The goal is to protect you’re capital in case you’re positions are going against you & the market rolls over.

Ideal scenario, you lose unrealized gains, but not capital!
Let’s use a basic example,

▪️ Trade #1 (1000$ position) :
Open profit = 2% = 20$

▪️ Trade #2 (1000$ position):
Risk (SL from potential entry) = 5% = 50$ ⚠️

This thread is about the technical setups I use day in/out to trade the markets📒

1⃣Wedge break (WB)
2⃣Wedge break pullback (WBPB)
3⃣Breakout Retest short (BORS)
4⃣Breakout Retest Long (BORL)
5⃣Breakout 10ema PB (BO10PB)
6⃣Breakout 21ema PB (BO21PB)

That's my playbook 👇
1⃣ Wedge break (WB)
Price forming a orderly pullback contained by a down trend line (DTL)

I buy on the DTL breakout ideally on higher than avrg. volume Image
2⃣ Wedge break pullback (WBPB)
After the WB, you often have a pullback to the kma's (10/21), we then find support and follow through on the upside.

I usually buy on the intraday WB (15min/1 hour) Image
