When making the appointment with me, they asked me to be there for 9am.
Not a chance. Even 10am was a push.
I arrived in a large room with 4 tables, each populated with a clinician & a patient, with the 1/

patients rotating around the room to see each MDT clinician. I was asked to sit in a chair at one end of the large room.
A few minutes later I was asked to sit in a chair in the middle of the room to enable the physio to take my BP, HR & SATS. 2/

Then asked to stand and walk to the side for my height&weight to be measured. Then back to the seat in the middle.
Physio then said that once I’d been assessed medically, we’d do a 6min walking test.
“Indeed we won’t” I replied. 3/

“One minute then?” he asked.
“Tbh, moving around this room and getting up&down off chairs is quite enough exercise for one day” I said.
“Hmm we’ll see” he said.

I won. I will be attending the education&relaxation elements and that is all. And I did not rotate around the room. The clinicians rotated around me.

if I had not been so <ahem> “blunt” in my refusal, I suspect I would have been talked into trying it. Last time I tried exercise for an assessment, it caused a relapse which lasted for months.

But I have open referrals with cardiology, neurology, opthalmology, respiratory & thoracic medicine plus migraine clinic. I do not need rehab. I need clinical investigations leading to proper treatment. 7/
But #NHSWales is only offering rehab. If I had a heart attack, I would not be offered rehab until the blockage was resolved. Why are they insisting on treating #longcovid differently? I remain convinced I have #microclots etc. Sort them out, THEN offer me rehab, please. 8/
