Step 1.
When your party or out of danger and just waking up in a situation, when they start asking for ridiculous things just say yes even in passing. Have them roll and if they get low numbers still make what they wanted happen.
Step 2. Minor concern over things being fulfilled
Step 3. Watch them test the waters and asking for more and more and getting it with no (seen) consequences.
Step 4. After so many wishes fulfilled and they asked for wild things, start making the opposite happen and DRASTICALLY
Step 5. Start putting breadcrumbs to make them think they're in the past with past experiences or people from their lives
Step 6. Introduce future versions of themselves or their lives
Step 7. Introduce the ArchFey who has trapped them in a pocket dimension and is watching like
Simply because a favorite performance of their based on the material plane was cancelled so they created their own

I want a Therionthrope shifting ability that isn't time sensitive. I want like
Normal Form: (No Change)
Shifted Form: Bonus to damage, bonus to speed, weakness to psychic & fire
That kinda vibe! The form gives advantages and disadvantages. Staying in it is a boon or a hindrance
And honestly if you REALLY wanna play into it you can make it they only communicate through beast speak. Casting a spell in the form requires a con check of 10+Spell level
... Y'all better stop letting me trick myself into designing stuff on here
I'm starting a band around board games and TTRPGs. Each band member is a different die type D4-D20. We call the stage a dice tray (and sell signed five trays). Fans are NPCs or PCs. Oooo maybe familiars, who knows
And honestly it doesn't have to use all of the die types because there are seven so it could be smaller than that and then if there is a guest or a company person they could be one of the fill in die
Is it a normal band? Is it a boy band? Who knows haven't decided yet we'll see. Am I serious about this I don't even know because most things I joke about end up real in some facet anyways so I guess that's for fate to decide
Story of a human who accepts vampirism so they can live long enough to properly raise the abandoned elven baby they found, knowing by the time they were a "teenager" the human would be reaching the end of their life although they made themselves a promise to protect this child.
They read stories, rumors, and myths about it. Eventually they sought out vampires and captured some of their blood. This ritual engulfed the human, gifting them vampirism but without many of the same drawbacks like affected by the light although still needing blood.
Their skin was previously a deep gold mixed with the colors of a trees bark but now instead it's become a pale remnant of earthen tones. Their eyes a piercing red, now interestingly matching the child's making them seem that much more related.
I'm so bad at dressing up for Halloween... Like I put on cosplays and random outfits most days of the year so when Halloween rolls around it just feels like a time to watch everyone else do it and relax myself.
I spent like 20 minutes feeling compelled to dress up (cont)
And then realized, I literally don't need to. I never dressed up for other people, I don't need the timing to get more people's attention, etc etc. So instead I decided to put on a white suit for fun and do a fun photoshoot while drinking chocolate wine 🍷🍫
Anyways now I'm drinking while in my suit scrolling through all of you look spooky and hot as hell and I love it. Maybe I'll make a thread tomorrow to show off a year of cosplays
Whenever referring to fantasy "races" say origin instead. Try it for a few days.
"What origin are they?"
"Oh they're elven origin!"
"It looks like they might be of half orcish origin"
"I feel like there's a mix of human and angelic origins in them"
Personal preferences with Gabe 👍🏿
The definition of race has evolved many times over the years and is complex
Also the point of a challenge is that you can not do it so if you just want to comment to say no, I instead implore you to spend that time doing something productive 👍🏿
Also I prefer this because if you're saying origins you're not tying it specifically to certain things. If someone is looking like they have both orcish and vampiric origins then it doesn't have to be that they were born that way or such or "changed"
